Yeah your right. It just seemed to me like everyone was responding like ooh we will get an editor that makes maps for all systems.
Or this is to complex for consoles.
It seemed like the point was being missed.
But it was probably just me.

To be honest, until it's actually confirmed that the consoles will be shipping with a level editor, I can't get myself too hyped up over this one.

Case in point: one of the games I've been looking forward to, Operation Flashpoint 2, will NOT have a level editor for the console versions, it was taken out.

I hope what ever editor Crysis releases with Crysis 2 is sort of like FC2's editor in the way that there is a peice of land already given to you. With that little feature it makes making a map much easier and cuts down on the time to make a map. Ive seem Crysis's editor and you have to develope the land on which your map is based which adds more time and effort. But if Crysis does not include a feature like that then I guess I'll have to learn a whole new editor from scratch.

Anyways that developement tool in that video looks pretty awsome. Crytek has always been the leader in graphics so whatever they have in store for their new game can be expected to be EPIC!

The CE2 sandbox is free if you want to have it. It comes with crysis wars which has a trial week soon. I've created a thread in the off-topic forum where you can read about it.
