that looks huge. the shadows are weird on the first shot. did use plane wings? it has a nice rounded look.

its a 4x4 (64) grid map and yeah there's a lot of plane wings...i noticed the grey plane had sort of a spacey grey white texture scheme so i tried to add it in with the concrete look.
I don't think i see any shadows in the 1st pic since its all under cover(cept for the rock at the end of the tunnel).

Looking good, really good idea in using those planes =D, i was thinking of it myself before i saw your pics. What i really like about the 2nd lot of pics are those closed doors, they look really well made, great imagination =P

The good thing about using planes, they're surprisingly modest when it comes to the fps hit, the LOD models must cut heaps off the poly count at anything over medium distance.
The bad thing about planes...the LOD offsets the plane wings when vertical for some reason(notice how the panels next to the door line up perfectly in the 1st screenshot but not in the 3rd), no idea how to stop it either.

Ya man i really dig the doors, and the hallway in the screens. I would have to say, I personally would use a diff floor in the 1st screen, it looke kinda 'woody' for sci fi, but thats just MHO. Other than that, I like And, I like the structures in the 2nd screen. I dunno what your object count is, but maybe add some pipes or something connecting the concrete blocks you used to hide the planes' true bodies; it would add a bit of aesthetic value. All in all, nice custom work. Nail the layout and tweak it a little and you have a golden map

object count is 120k lol, the floor in that pic was a placeholder and was changed to the floor in the 2pic in the next lot of pictures.
