This map is based on a very aggresive future standoff on the borders of USA and Mexico Cool .
Sorry No pics yet,But If anybody is interested,This is one of my smaller maps that I believe will be a ton of fun.
I'm sure there are some bugs to work out,and maybe some gameplay balance tweaks,,But its Gonna be fun when its finished(I think its fun now Happy ).

The spawn points and bases on this map are close
to each other(Probably inside a grid square).The total map size is around 6 grid squares.
Its designed primarily around uprising but CTD will be fun as well having diamonds housed in the gas stations on either teams sides(gas station to gas station).
This is very vehicle able,Close quarters as well as sniper heaven.
Fast gameplay is in order here Smile .
Teamwork is key to holding capture points and the layout is designed so each team has an advantage over a capture point and (c) is more nuetral.
This will be a constant battle from the word go.
I'm hoping there is enough occlusion to keep things from slowing down to much with a full server(Not done with placing occlusion blocks and other Mods).
I hope everybody checks it out and don't judge it to harshly until it is played on a full server under Uprising or CTD.

Wow, I am really liking the big rig as well as all of the custom work I see. I cant remember ever seeing something like that on PC.

Here we go again - raising the bar and all Wink2 Things like that make maps stand out to me much more than stock items in good arrangements. Its a shame I cant play it, as well as many other works I see on the 360. I really seem to like 360 mappers' works moreso than PC, though PC definitely has some great stuff.

Great looking map, really good custom stuff. Metal

Thanks a Ton for throwing up the pics Dave,and thanks for the compliments guys.

I am almost sure it will be a blast to play.I know it needs alot more polish but the gameplay is my priority.

I'm trying to stay away from using to many tree's and bushes,etc to keep away from taxing the game engine,but I will try and work on the looks and feel more as well as make a different style tractor trailer(long nose peterbuilt) and maybe even a Car carrier 18 wheeler and place one of the playable vehicles in it(That would be cool Wink2 ) ...I'll probably throw in a dumptruck 2 Big Grin
I realy think the gameplay and fun is there though..

It should be pretty intense considering the close proximity everyone is to each other yet there is a lot of cover at the same time with many tactical options.I'll be working on Polish and feel of the map as well as performance .This is going to need some gameplay time to see if things are balanced enough.
I think they should be because of all the options for flanking and the underground tunnel.
Teamwork will win every time.

i think bucky is throwing out all the stops with this map. the rigs do look amazing. and a lot of thought has went into the layout and building design. even when beta testing this map as it progresses the game loads up with players quick and is really fun already. i know that this map is gonna be a big hit and be very polished when its done.. I hosted the map last night. Played TDM on it. Because of that, I don't have a whole lot of feedback to give you. It seemed to play pretty well for the mode, but I get the feeling you made this more for the objective-based modes.

I did overhear a couple of people say they liked how you laid everything out. There was a fair amount of sniping fun to be had, thanks to the many elevated spots you created. I myself took advantage of the water towers for a bit. AS there are plenty of ways to counter-snipe, it felt pretty balanced, so that worked out well.

Again, I'd love to see you try something different with your terrain work. All of you maps tend to kinda look the same because of the way you do your terrain. I know that game-play is #1 for you (as it should be). If you want, I could take a stab at giving this map a little make-over Smile Lemme know!

Looking forward to seeing how Uprising and CTD go. This map shows a lot of potential!

Thanks Dave,,I did make this Primarily around Uprising(Can't wait to see how it goes in Uprising).
I am going to do more terrain work for sure.I agree its mostly an after thought on most of my maps but there is no reason not to improve in this area.
It would make a big difference to the feel and gameplay IMO.
Terrain can make the feel different in areas of the map and that can help in direction/locations and looks.
Everything matters realy but I do tend to make terrain last on the list Big Grin .
Thanks for the advice ,and if You don't mind,,,Go ahead and Give it a wirl.

I will try it myself 2.
It will just take me some time because I only get in the map once in a while but oh well.

Hey stonerlove420,,
If your still running my map Monday,,,Please run it in Uprising or at least CTD.

This map is realy made for Uprising and I believe it will be an intense battle in that mode.

I have made a lot of improvements and will do some more before Monday.
The best time to get the latest version would be sometime Monday.

I'm taking Nimrod and Daves advice and trying to work on terrain some more as well as trying to get the look balanced ,building interior improved,,and build some more custom Trucks(Peterbuilt rigs with a car carrier,Oil tanker,and some dump trucks complete with spawn points in the back with body up Smile ).

By the time I'm done,The map will be played out and nobody will be interested LOL Big Grin
Oh well

Ive had some issues completing my map,But I believe tonight I will have it complete if I don't crash from exaustion (Long work Week).

Anyways to add to this I made some major improvements to then forget to save them (NOOOOO!!!).
I falsly sent out invites to check out my finished map.
It is not finished but I feel I'm getting close.
Ive built another custom truck(Peterbuilt'ish Smile ) and will soon make a dumptruck complete with raised body and spawn points inside.
I'm improving the interior,and tried to improve the terrain(Still not very good at it).

I would realy like to try it with everybody some time.
RUN IT ON UPRISING OR AT LEAST CTD!!!
If your bored check out the latest version.
Tonight I will try and complete it and it will be called "BorderWAR" from here on out.

I am finished(Well until I find something wrong to fix).
Since last night I have got 45 Downloads and figure its do to the Trucks as my map pic Wink2 .Like Dave said,The picture makes all the difference for people taking notice and taking the time to download and check out your map.

I will actually try and play tonight if anybody wants to play(Around 10:00pm est).
Ive benn slowly working on this for a while but I will try and play more often.(Although my new map idea "Crack House" has me wanting to continue map making Winky .

checked it out today. love the things you've added since i last saw the map. i love the new trucks and the dumtrucks. i got a laugh out of the spawns in the dumptrucks Too Happy. i will wait to test gameplay til you host it and play. i don't really like playing objective modes with randoms. great job Bucky Thumbs Up

I played a game on this last night, but there wasn't enough people to judge on it's gameplay. It was i vs 2 lol...Slow night for FC2 I guess.

It defiantly looks cool as hell. Lots of stuff going on in this map. I love big rig lol. Very believable...Hopefully I can get some more games in on this one and then I'll be able to comment on it's gameplay more.

Ive gone through and cleaned some more things up ive noticed and kris and others commented on.
Uprising is the best on this map.
CTD should be fun 2.
I also placed DM spawn points all over.

I'm still wondering if it may suffer some slowdown from time to time.
We will see.
BTW,,Ive had some major issues uploading and deleting my maps yesterday and today Roll Eyes .
I'm hoping I can get my finished map uploaded.
I may have 2-3 BorderWAR maps but just download the latest date I guess Roll Eyes
