There are animals in the game. Why not add some animal skins (texture and geometry). This is something that existed to some degree in the first FarCry.

I always thought it would be neat if you could have predefined face/body paint selections you could apply to the model. Or a bare chest with clay dyes and raised scars. Oh, and a zebra cape!

I can't remember if I posted this somewhere before but it would be so cool to have leopard, zebra, mountain lion, etc. marking options. It could also be kind of neat for clans because they could all have a particular war paint to solidify the team. Like a uniform, I guess.

They added a number of different knives, it only seems feasable.

my statements are only 4 Pc version...

i'm sure i will repeat some stuff but anyways...
there i go:

(sry 4 my bad english)

-hostcameras placing like an object? why not like the "capture" button, 4 the screenshot, 4 the map?
i never captured the angle i wanted!

-please fix certain boearders of objects that have the occlosion-effect. if i walk bellow a sealed building, everything disapears...

-and the physical boardeer of some objects. 4 example, the colonial church. there are at least 10 - 20 feet spear bellow,
but i cant walk through...

-different water hights or levels

-lights that dont need so much performance!!! thats crazy

-waterfalls, rivers, waterflow, diffrent water color !!! etc....

-beeing able to rotate trees and plants in any way...

-set a AI in map editor, 4 testing gameflow and so on...

-i want all weapons in editor...or at least grenades, molotows, pistol, a scoped gun, a riffle, RPG and the flamo...

-more random objects!!!!!!! (details, buildings, structures, stairs, windows!, bridges, etc...)

-Tunnel tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-choosing differnet map basic size!!....like instead of 5x5 miles, 2x2 miles.... (maybe better performance, or mapsize in Kb)

-add more than 6 vehicles to a map. (maybe depnd on mapsize 5x5 miles or 2x2 miles...)

-and add the vehicles from fortunes pack!!

- add rain!!! i mean rain that always there! maybe different strenghts?!

-add animals! wildlife and different birds

-more physical objects like the waterpump...: there is a windmill that doesnt rotate?! make it turn!!!!
(people will know when they have to stop using them, 4 better performance...they are not stupid)

-Waterplants!!!! Please Waterplants....there are several in the singelplayer...

-all vehicles...also the muscle truck! (maybe people can shoot from the back out...)

-urban building parts. for builing customized citys...

This is my rule on map editor if you can think it you should be capable of making it

the first thing is remove all restrictions such as: ammo, memory, space, explosives and vehicles, paint, collections. Honestly I along with other older map makers know how to use occlusion blocks to increase map performance and running out of item space or me memory really stinks. Running out of ammo on larger maps is also annoying. Not enough vehicles on big maps really annoying. Same with the ammo and vehicles 16 explosives on a small map okay but a big map not really.

Also adding bottoms on all object or at least forts so you can stack without having flicker or a hole threw it to the sky.

Add Vehicles from the fortunes pack and the old far cry would make it more fun. Make it so drivers can shot one handed weapon in vehicles.
Also redo all vehicle damage so vehicles are less destructible like in far cry 1.

Redo the weapon class to custom weapon classes. I say this so you can pick up enemy weapon on the map. Also so we can have level one weapon on the map along with the fortunes map pack weapons.

Add a tunnel tool in terrain to make underground paths around the map.

Add a trench tool that automatically digs a trench and places sand bags.

Make any occlusion block snapped or touching make a big solid occlusion block

have occlusion blocks in any object that cannot be destroyed.

Vanishing points remove or redo them there more of a pain than an asset. I have a lot of ideas that are destroyed by vanishing points of object that are big disappearing at a close range.

a must add more objects especially furniture, appliances, electronics and nic nacs like magazines, cups and so on.

Break the Africa theme mold with the editor it is an editor and is not the game. Look at crazyuncledaves maps not Africa but really good. For some themes add, modern industrial, cities, ex: Las Vegas, space, mid evil, sci fy or futuristic: ex teleporters for maps like the halo replicas, War, Chinese, Japanese, Russia, Middle Eastern. Im not saying go way in depth just have enough so you can create a map with the theme.
Also going off the theme idea place all objects and building in the theme in a theme bar in the menu bar in the editor making it faster to find themed objects.

Add some new mounted guns such as 10mm, artillery, rocket pods.

Add lighting outside and inside for night time.

Have more climates and weather options.

Out side the 8 by 8 grid place either put repeating water that goes out so far in a large radius around the center of the map or (have a wilderness generator that you select and it creates a wilderness outside the map or allows you to create the wilderness outside the map.

Water features such as rapids, waterfalls, springs, fountains and rivers

have a building edit tool were you can make building out of: wall, floor roof, ceiling, stair, door and window pieces making custom building faster and quicker.

Make it to were building floors delete earth and plant life under them. ex cliff side building inside the cliff are hard to delet the earh so the ground does not come threw the floor.

Interactive objects like doors.

Different water hights

Fire elements like fire places.

AI for testing

cutsom occlussion blocks. occlussion blocks that are paper thin for fences.

Add the predator mode into the editor sci fy fun and it is far cry so people can go with it.

Im positive that what we all want for the editor is some DLC. I noticed that this thread was started October 31st 2008 Giving 12 days untill the year mark hits and still nothing. So what is the point of an (Official)Whihlist. Can anyone Medeator or other find out and tell us if there is any plan to give us any form of DLC for this Game ever.

Brick Wall Moment.

An option on the pause menu to toggle Auto Occlude. So if you place a Concrete Block or Colonial Wall toggeled on the item will Automaticly Occluded.

Im sure this has been mentioned but Bottoms to objects so if I make a door way and go through it I cant see all the way to the roof.

And lastly industrial stairs Plus more walkways allowing people to make things like Fire Escapes.

If any one agrees with the first statement maybe we should start a potition on the main thread page.

not sure if it has been mentioned, but other editors like CryEngine or the FEAR Public Tools allow for streaching of items, this would be good for occlusion blocks and fences, etc.

How about a tool that allows you to separate solid objects like buildings from water. It would be great for you to be able to add water but not have it flood every part of your building.

Most important [All]
- Bots : the biggest problem is that we can't play with most of our maps because their is to many maps in multiplayer. The bots is usefull for this. To be able to play into our maps is really important.
- Customizable grid : size, magnetism, snapping... This is useful for aligning objects perfectly into our maps.
- Light (color, intensity, flicker, etc)
- Basic urban building like floors, walls, windows, doors...

moreover the story mode AI looks like it could work decently in multiplayer maps.

I have a lots of ideas for the map editor, but i don't create maps for now because i don't want to waste my time on maps that will never be played. Frown
