I'm glad they decided to have the actors do voices for their journals.

I don't know what I'll think of Sirrus', but Achenar's anguish over the revelation that the Mangrees had accepted him and given him a name . . . that was heart-rending. It literally brought tears to my eyes.

It was an anticlimax when we got to the gift of shirts Katherine had given him, but his genuine thankfulness and bemused appreciation confirmed the change in him.

Even without the spoilers I've unintentionally been exposed to, I would *know* he was truly repentent and on the road to complete reformation and, if I may say it, redemption.

I also loved the journal voice-overs. It really brought life to the writings, and allowed the characters to have more of a role, since you really don't see most of them that much (and Catherine not at all).
