Has anyone posted somewhere the logos with their conversation snippets? I'd rather work this out myself, but I wouldn't mind starting with a visual list of what's what.

Sorry no. Where I have used the icons, the conversation is already in order.
But if you haven't already transcribed it - here's the conversation snippets in no particular order. Yeesha: You can make one just like you made my spirit guide. Yeesha: I'll tell them to when I link home. Sirrus: I'd like to sis, but I don't have a chess set. Yeesha: Daddy's really good at chess. Sirrus: That way, I'll never be able to break it. Yeesha: You should play him. Sirrus: They break so easily. Yeesha: Well, maybe mum and dad could give you a set, as a present. Sirrus: I could, but it's really hard to carve figurines that small. Sirrus: Ha, right, and I suppose you'll tell them to make it out of the same rock as this chamber. |

Thanks.
Actually, I had already gone back in and did a screencap of every figure and logo, and printed them out. Then I transcribed all the snippets, writing them on the appropriate printout. Next, I made myself post-it tags numbered 1 through 10, and placed the numbers next to the logos and dialogue in the order I think is logical. While ordering the snippets, I discovered a spot at the end where it seems to work in two different ways, so I suppose I'm going to have to try them both. What surprises me is that none of the Myst-related discussion boards has a library of screenshots with the snippets labeled. Back when everyone was first playing the game, that's exactly the sort of thing that people were putting together. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, I blew it. I came here first, went looking for outside help with the color-code and "spoiled" myself. I had no idea that I *needed* the first dream sequence for the door, so now (in this game) I lost my chance. |

I told you you're reading too much.

Yup, I concur, realXCV.
But since these boards aren't teeming with players discussing the game and helping each other think through the puzzles, I have to do *something.* I can't just call you guys up and get hints right when I need them, so I go looking for myself. I suppose that sounds impatient, but it's not that I want to solve the puzzle instantly, it's just that I want a nudge to get me moving again. At this point in the game, there's nowhere else to go, nothing else to do. |
