Good morning everyone, its my first post. I was planning to do this test for a long time... A few days ago I got a new editor, working with polish patch 1.04.1. This editor is great, everything works perfectly, I didnt got any problems with it. Somewhere I heard about nuke, and about an explosion... So, I want to write about first explosion I made. In a test I will use five barrels in normal size, and four BAR's 3 times bigger than normal, on map "Wake_Island_2_0" found somewhere. BTW its great map... the trees, bushes, grass, buildings, shore line... but nevermind. A Pak-41 LE 45mm cannon will hit the bomb... and a large explosion. Sorry for not very big images, but its about 20 screenshots... The more interesting images are bigger.

Test #1
First test... My computer equipped with GF8800GTX and Intel Core Dual E-6600 made a great work. About 30-40 FPS.

Test #2
Second test, my computer works great. 30-40 FPS.

Test #3
A last test, view from the other side. 25-40 FPS.

Sorry for my English, I know its not perfect. Greetings.

[edit]
Whoops... something happend... images cant become bigger! I spoilt something...

Nice... Thumbs Up

Good graphics by the way!

You can link the images to the host where they have the full size and you click on them to get them bigger.

Also thanks for using my map! Smile I made it Shady

A few of the screenshots in bigger size:

You are experienced if you made this map... Its so realistic... But by graphic is not incredible. It was only 7-10 fps while detonating nuclear bomb on map "lehrter bahnhof", "Vokzal" in editor. But it was looking nice, every building in a big radius was seriously damaged or destroyed Smile

Many thanks! I'm pleased that you liked it. Smile Thank you once again!

I hope that I can make some more maps like this themed "Pacific Style" with many islands and jungles! Expect that day to come!!

Its only an little scene, about 40x40 squares. There is not anything more Smile But maybe I will place it in one of other maps (if its possible to transfer entities between map)

[edit]
Please tell me what do you think about this forest. About 60%-70% of my new map will be filled with it... This map is not finished yet, but I already made many things (ex. long railroad with train and windmill connected with lumbermill). This is a forest:

Don't fill it out with that, I'd prefer to use less dense forest well yours is fine but maybe take 1 or 2 trees away to help with lag... cause big forests = big time lag...

Ctrl + C to copy entities (in same map and between diff. maps)
Ctrl + V to paste them (Just incase you didn't know Wink )

Yeah, I know about copy and paste. Its great tool... Now its beta map, only on my computer (nice machine Wink) and its working good in game (ww2game4.0 mod). I am not planning to make it an multiplayer map, but if I release it, I will make it with less number of trees. I will edit this post in about 10-15 minutes, I will add 1-3 screenshots of this map.

[edit]
Screenshots (sorry for size-not in kB, its not so big, but in real size on screen)

1. View from a big hill, I am not planning to make it in game

2. View of an abandoned station...

PS. This map is based on Flank Assault landscape. I just cant make settings for game in multi player :/ maybe I will fix it in future.

Well to make the map playeble for multiplayer you'll need to do the following:

quote:

For Combat Gamemode:
  • Save the map as: "combat" without the quotes ("). That's all for a combat map. But don't forget the spawns either! (Explained below)

    For Battlezones Gamemode:
  • Save the map as: "battle_zones" again without the quotes!
  • Put some flags around... select it and near the bottom put f1, f2, f3 etc... Only a maximum number of 5 flags!
  • Put the spawns and save as above.

Spawns: You can download my corny "Multipayer Spawns Tutorial" via FileFront.com
Right now I'm too tired to do proper "mini-guide" whatever.. but you get the thing...

Yeah, I understood it. Thanks. I need to format my computer... I got next RAM memory. Now I will have 4 Gb 800 MHz. Good configuration for "Crysis" Smile and for my new maps I am planning to make. Maybe one based on 500x500 squares terrain Smile.
