I have converted in vb.net and added the possibility to choose the type of troops. Moreover I have made some modification in the way to create the squads and the vehicles and other still. I waited for to you DOWNLOAD FROM HERE ver. 0.7 uploaded From authors Jason111 and KRISJOHANN one new type of version of the famous Dynamic Campaign Generator by Vecchiounno (Italy). VEHICLES ADDED (vehicles.xml): UK forces: bl6 m1mortar USA forces: 155gpf dodge gmc gmc_cckw hd m114 m1mortar maxson willysat willysmb SOV forces: bm13 bm37 d1 gaz67 gaz67b m72 zis5 GER forces: blitz3_6 nebelwerfer42 r12 sfh18 sgrw42 CHANGED THE CATEGORY (vehicles.xml): 0 = ARTILLERY SUPPORT 1 = MOTORIZED 2 = MECHANIZED 3,4,5 = ARMORED 6 = INFANTRY 7 = ARTILLERY TRUCK 8 = AIR SUPPORT (this because the program chooses in function to the type of troop). added Vehicles.xsl in order to better visualize the data of the Vehicles.xml. CHANGE IN SQUADS (squads.xml): I have brought back the number of men from 10 to 8 in order to manage better in the game. FEATURES IN THE PROGRAM: activated the type of tactics (defend - probe - flank - attack - assault) activated the creation of briefing of mission activated the creation of copy of images for the mission possibility to choose the type of different troop for the player and the computer possibility to have the artillery support possibility to activate or not to activate the AI of the player (bugs?!) possibility to choose the entity of the troops in Companies, Battalions, Regiments and Brigades based on these random values: Companies 1 to 3 Battalions 4 to 9 Regiments 10 to 27 Brigades 28 to 42 possibility randomly to choose the aforesaid functions Soon I will add to other interesting functions, like as an example one map strategic in order to coordinate all the campaign. Your MOD seems to be a 100%-conversion of my MOD and surely it may be helpfull to solve the problem with the windows-language. Maybe you changed some details of the MOD-constuction, maybe also lots of details, but the most of the data are devellopped by JASON and me. ![]() I'm a bit lost at the moment. How many versions are there? My guess is 3. I'm not sure which one I should install. Any updates coming out soon for any of these 3? Anyone still thinking about adding some new maps? Jason mentioned it some time ago and it would be great. Anyone tried this VB version? Any improvements in there except for that language problem? (I don't want to install it because I didn't have that problem in the first place). More info please. Anyway, keep up a good work guys. |

Here's my opinion:
I think it's great that lots of people are working on this. It may be a little confusing, but we get many more good things this way. For my part, the readme gives permission to use the Dynamic Campaign Mod in any way people see fit without asking. Of course, it is always appreciated if you do. However, I think Krisjohann has a good point about the naming. It would be helpful to name any mods based on this one so that it's easy to see that they are related, but also that they are different. I hope to have a new release of the version I am working on sometime soon, but it's still being tested and debugged. I like that vecchiounno converted it to Visual Basic. There are lots of people who know VB out there. Maybe more people will work on the source code. Cheers, Jason Oh, and I'm trying to make the next version so it will be easy to add new maps... |

Being the sources available I have only converted in vb.net (language that I know better) for being able to add other functions that I have put public for all people. Just in order to respect yours copyright, I have left the same name and the same version, specifying that the language has been converted in vb.net for those who does not know the #c. If the wished ones, I can cancel it from this forum or change name to the program. |

Change the name of your MOD for example to DCG-VB-Accessory with another version-number and everything is o.k.. It´s fine that you develloppe an update of my MOD. It´s sufficiant if you mark the precursors of the modding-process (Jason111 and KRISJOHANN) and feel free to change, what you like to. After JASON111 is releasing his new version, i will work on another version of my own MOD and i will change his basics to my special style. I've tried your VB version of the mod and I like all those options you added but...
is it possible to add one more for weapon ranges? It seems that you are using default game settings for weapon ranges which I find awful compared to those Kris has in his version (initially it was U51 and his mods, right?). Another thing, when I start a campaign I get about 2000000000 soldiers?! Those options for reinforcements are just for next missions? Is it possible to start a campaign with, for example, 20 men? Cheers. |

As ngvede, I also seem to get Battalion / Regiment strength forces at the start of some maps (while I have the Company box selected and I have changed the settings to just 2 squads) while on other maps I do just get the 2 squads?
Also, when I have started a new campaign with the Armoured (corazzata) box checked I don't seem to get tanks etc. ? In your Read Me you mention: "Possibility to choose the entity of the troops in Companies, Battalions, Regiments and Brigades based on these random values: Companies 1 to 3 Battalions 4 to 9 Regiments 10 to 27 Brigades 28 to 42 possibility randomly to choose the aforesaid functions" This is not clear to me, are the "random values" for number of units you get or types of units?
