Please can you tell me whether altering the ‘rarity’ value affects the selection of A1 units? I have altered the ‘rarity’ of the German units so that I get more of a choice in the force pool, but will this change mean that if I play the Americans then I will be more likely to face King Tigers (because I have altered their rarity value to 0.9)? Also, do you plan to give some control over the types of A1 units generated in version 1.4? (like in your SHOWW2 mod) Regards SL |

BrotherJayne: I think you have to do that in the .def files - anyway, it requires modding extra files.
SgtLeather: rarity affects both sides equally. As for the second question, I don't know yet but I have some ideas... |

Thanks for the reply Jason111
With a bit of ingenuity then I should be able to determine the A1 forces to a significant extent For example, if I change the rarity of all 'enemy' vehicles to 1.6 and the rarity of infantry units to 0.9 then when I run the game my forces should be facing predominantly infantry A1? One last question, what happens if you remove the rarity line altogether? Does this make the unit appear even more often than setting at 0.9? Thanks as always SL |

I'd like to know how the procurement point system works, because I've never got more than slightly above 40 points after winning a battle.Buying tanks with that amount is nearly impossible. If I lose a battle I'll always get 10 points which usually means big trouble. Should the leftover points be available for the next battle? Because it seems that If I try to save points eg. leave some 20 points for the next battle they won't stack up, I'll get the same ~40 points anyhow.

A quick(ish) fix is just to go into the vehicles xml (with notepad) and just change the values For example I have divided all the values by 4 (and also amended the 'rarity' of units). that way I can choose a few tanks right from the start if I like Regards SL |

Thanks for the reply sarge
I was just wondering if it's working like it should. If it is, then how on earth can I get the full 200 points? |

eforsblo: Unused points do build up (unless you lose battles, in which case they decline) -- depending on your spending rate it takes several victories to buy a good tank. Note that infantry with AT grenades or handheld HEAT weapons are as effective at killing tanks as big tanks. They just aren't as survivable. Also, every nation except the U.S. has at least one good AT Gun that is affordable. (and the U.S. starts with enough points to buy a tank at the beginning).
Edit: I just discovered a bug in reading victory from the save file in v1.3. It would make it pretty hard to gain points. Will be fixed in v1.4. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jason111, |

I think it would make sense to have more points distributed to the losing team. After losing a battle, you'll need more points then after having won. Other wise, you need to end your campaign the first time you get beat

There are things in the latest version that should help with that, including allied squads when you aren't doing so well. Please use the latest thread:
1.4 Thread ...though there should be a new release (and a new thread) sometime later this week |

Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your efforts Jason. I completed the stock campaign and love the game. But with nothing to look forward to...the game would be dead without your efforts.
Tks. |
