Hi Un-Deux. I'm glad to see that finally Ubi make attencion to us.
If you look at the forum there are a lot of questions waiting for a reply... We know that the BestWay and Ubisoft in this days have a lot of work, but i hope that the situation will change as soon. Ok, I believe alot of us SHOWW2 fans would LOVE it if someone could explain the new armor/penetration system in as much detail as possible. There are a lot of people in the modding community that are very interested in tweaking FoW's damage system to be more like SHOWW2 and this would help us tremendously! The more support for the modding community the longer this game will last = more money for you! |

When is it scheduled to be released in Europe and the US. Everyone syas spetember, but nobody has confirmed. I have just re-installed SHOWW2 to get a fix before FOW comes out. Hurry up

Good points. I fixed up the colors on the forum a little earlier today so text can be seen, and I'll be looking into adding those forums as we get closer to the release. |

Well this is certainly a pleasant suprise!
Just one question,will there be a official map/mi editor (preferably 1 for both) released by Ubi and BestWay? Please,dont do the same thing as Codemasters did and let this game die! |

Post it in english, please. Automatic translators doesn't give good translations and I don't know Chinese. 1. You should try Tactics mode in full version. In Soldiers, a vehicle with a crew of 2 functions just as well as with a full crew of 4. I'd like to know if this has changed in FOW, and if yes, how is vehicle functionality affected with a smaller crew.

In Soldiers a small crew had already an effect on gameplay. If you just had 2 men in a tank, you could just fire and drive at one time. If you had to reload, you couldn't move your turret. And if you just had one men, you could just do one thing at a time, firing driving or reloading. 3 Men was minimum to have a full working tank with no disadvantages. In FoW there are many aa-mguns on top of the turrets, they need to be manned to be of use aswell.

AFVs in Soldiers (and in RL WW2 for that matter) don't generally move & fire at the same time. American Shermans have gyros to allow that, but AFAIK move/fire was more the exception than the rule.
Back to the issue: In Soldiers, there is generally no mobile tank-to-tank combat. If leaving it up to the AI, if you direct a tank to fire at another tank, it will just stop and fire. It doesn't manuever. If you use DC, then if you engage in move/fire, you can pivot the tank just as fast as you can spin the turret, so the "driver" person effective serves as gunner as well. An inaccuracy in Soldiers is that some tanks (notably the Tiger I & II, and Panther) actually turns faster than their turrets can traverse. This is totally ahistorical, as all German turretted AFVs at that time had powered turret traverse (as well as a 5-man crew) that allow them to turn much faster than the Russian tanks' manual traverse turrets. Anyway, my point is that a 2-man crew in Soldiers does pretty much everything a 4-man crew does, so in any game that has a AFV, I'd pop out the 2 extra guys and have some extra infantrymen. The problem is that crewmen can instantly switch from one position to the next, with no penalties in performance. MGs can be used simultaneously with cannon, since you can stop the tank for a brief moment, and the driver can instantly become the MG guy. |

yea I agree the switching between places so fast isn't the most realistic. But in Soldiers the time delay between switching places was just enough so that it wasnt something you wanted to do. If you are constantly sending out tanks in MP with only 2 crew-men you are at a big disadvantage in direct-control battles (both tank-vs-tank and tank-vs-inf) as that little time-delay in your firing rate and movement rate could cost you your new tank. Also, I was under the impression (maybe wrong one, haha) that having the Commander spot filled gave a vision bonus to the tank. I don't have the code to back that up tho. |

QUESTION - how come shift click doesnt work anymore ? i cant seeing myself without placing mines in Starcraft and SHOWWII without shift and click...
How come in SHOWWII we had USE button - so much easier to operate ANYTHING u had in ur inventory - would it be dynamite or matches or anything that can be USED !!! - why kill USE button Why make soldiers RUN FREELY by default - in SHOWWII we had to change HOLD GROUND by default, and once changed it will stay through the whole game - so you dont have to worry about yours vicious grunts running under tanks or burning peacefull villagers... and final DEMAND that BOTHER WHOLE COMMUNITY |
