I think both games are pretty good. I like the fact that infantry run for cover and are quite intelligent in Company of Heores. The tank AI in it however isn't so intelligent.

The thing I like most about Faces of War is that you can control your units, so instead of sending in all your units and watch them all get killed really stupidly, you can change the course of the battle yourself.

Both games are pretty even in my books..

Omg dude i freaking know about the patch for the lagging.. ive not even had lagging befor that.. Ive got a Geforce7950GX2, everything is fine and smooth as anything..
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ and 2gb of DDR400 ram..
Not all that gr8, got it half a year ago.. but ive never had a problem with lag, and yes i have played mp, many a time, i love how sometimes if some one lags, i can go around "slow mo" camera ¬.¬ so yeah, ty for the slowmo camera lol, anyway ill stick with gear that is more tried and test'd, i geuss if your so "holy", you'll be even running Windows Vista Premium ¬.¬ mr richy..

and you talking about the internet lag then? Cause that did have problem with discornecting etc..

Do you get the matrix like slow-mo because of others at all? :P thats kool but then after awhile it realy does wear off..was once able to take screen shots from every angle of a bazooka about to hit something..

Both great games, both a different kind of game.
You already knowwhat FoW is like so I won't talk about it.
CoH is a very good RTS that's like playing an old WW2 movie with sterotypes and unrealisms galor but it's realy exciting.

Hi,guys. I've been trying to set up an account but I forgot my password which is set up years ago. anyway i'm here and saw the discussion about FOW vs COH.
I've played COH for quite long and I have to say I love both games a lot. COH is a typical RTS but with some shinny features, which is another reason why it's so popular. People just get used to games they are familiar with. Whereas FOW has a lot of new concept and more tactical that just scared people away. if you are into games like warcraft or C&C, you definitely should try out COH, you will find out that it has waaaaay less bugs then FOW does 8D

i have these games both but i regret buy CoH that game mind so make army for your full population and attac, fow have most dangerous wars and realistic and more weapons i really hated CoH in skirmish computer are very strong so very hard to win

coh is pants, theres only 1 king of WWII games and that is F.O.W. [my opinion]

CoH=Not very good. Bad replay value.
FoW=Great in every aspect! (Patched to 1.04.1a of course)

But I think company of heroes is also a great game I played it for about two week but after that it getting board because the only thing that you have to do in each mission is all the same hey you! capture that flag hey you! capture that road hey you! capture that churce.
But I have to say that company of heroes got a better graphic then faces of war but faces of war is more funnies then company of heroes

FOW better than COH

CoH does have the advantage of the better graphics. But FoW has more features that make it fun. Plus CoH has sooooooo many updates for it. That is something FoW does not have. So my answer is FoW is better than CoH.

CoH is good, but the income sucks! who ever rushes and captures more points fast wins, no doubt.
also the bases arnt fun to attack, basicly if you can get to the base and attack it all out, youll get it.
and you can only get it if you attack it all out, unlike on C&C where you can definately take a section down, but then your troops are dead and you gotta come back to take the rest.

IMO C&C tiberium wars SUCKS!!! compared to COH or FOW

except that the tiberium income (a field of money, needing a special unit to collect) is the best income system of anygame

the only thing i dislike about FoW is i wish there was some base building, i like building a base... OR at least multiple spawn points, not 1 the enemy can just fortify and your F***ed

also i wish FoW had better income system, or at least a gametype where there is an income system, maybe flag caps... or better! theres just items uhm $$$ maybe you gotta pick up, something...

also, CoH has sandbags you can build... does FoW?? (im kinda newbie)

The only thing better about COH is that you can slow it down...[setsimrate(?)].
AFAIK you cannot slow down the speed of this game.

You can slow down FoW. Hit backspace and click 1 or 2 to slow it down 3 is normal and 4 and 5 are to speed it up.

Sorry, should've read the manuel better.

Game adjustable....so my opinion so far is, tough call....have to play the campaign thru.
