Hello FoW community,

I realize that there's a new forum, but I though I would just post here once more.. I'm just wondering about Online Multiplay: There aren't any servers running the latest version (1.04.1), only servers running V1.01.0. Is there a reason for this; furthermore, can I downgrade my version to be able to play online?

Well, according to all earlier replies about why people are still running v1.01.0 servers is simply that they are running pirated games, ie. games that cant be upgraded to the latest version...(?)

You can downgrade your game by simply remove it from your PC and then reinstall it, without adding the v1.04.1 patch...

Or.. Move it to a diffrent folder and Install FoW again for a plane version.. And have both (Tho I realy cant be ass'd with 1.01 myself..)

Also, some people just dont know where to go or how to google something for the patch.. seriously, some people are just total n00bs..
Games without autopatchers can end result in alot without the patch.. Not everyone is Google savvy.. Or even know what a Search engine is.. let alone use one..
So its not just pirated games.. (which can be updated...)

Ohh, I've come to realization that there are a fare number of users with the V1.04.1 patch, HOWEVER, I was simply unable to click "join" on the game because it is already playing. So, you can only join a server when it's in the lobby?

Additionally, I may as well address the lag issue. I've got a highly powered system; I guess FoW is simply prone to MP lag than other online games?

Yeah those games are gray, you can join them in the lobby or in the dedicated server lobbys if there is one. I geuss you have hosting problems?

Do you have the "fps" patch fix? 1.04.1a?
Which was ment to give higher fps.
Didn't change my fps tho.. ^^

I see alot talking of lag in FoW but..
Personally, I dont get lag, I get good FPS.. Well I did when I had my Geforce7950GX2 with everything full.. even with my 8400GS tho I get 20-25fps on 1680x1050, but 60fps+ on 1280x1024 in multiplayer everything els high apart from AA in both modes.
I miss big tank battles of 100+ tanks and loadsssss of troops.

But other players can lag I've seen, mainly russians.. It's funny going around as if it was the matrix and everything stopped, but then when they disconnect, its not. -_-'
