Hey, great news! My guys are almost invincible; hell, they can take everything the Germans throw at them.

I certainly hope that for the game realism is going to be more....real?

the demo is set automaticly on n00bish difficulty.. sorry i mean easy difficulty, there is tactics difficulty (the settings my mod is set on, www.tnwgames.com/files/joeymod.rar ) tactics difficulty = ur men die in a few hits like the germans ^^ still could be alot harder :/

Yes Yes there should be a FAQ to prevent all the silly questions and whinings xD

A FAQ on all of FoW.. giving detailed info that will stop it all, helping with everything ! Giving every single answer !! Taking for ever to make !!

1-1-Radar
1-2-Falaise

There seems to be a bug that stops me from going to mission 2 (without changing Falaise to 1-1) so u might have that too if u only get the first one even tho u complete it... :/

Do you realize that you can select your mission by simply clicking on the photo-card-tab-picture in the main screen (campaign)?

BTW, in my mod (Playable German mod of 1-2-Falaise) I had to hide Sherman (m4a2) number 273 because it was 100% invincible!

I suppose I'll bite the bullet then...not intended to be mean to you but from the first post you seem to made impression to me that this is another whining post....there are already threads that said this is an early build...(in case you bother to give it a look)...And asides, since others seem to have informed you already, there is no point for me to repeat all of that again just to impress you.

TrucksonSonny: Are there any sherman that can't be destroyed? Those in my mission got blasted all over...Hmm, maybe there is something to do with these functions

Fair enough Kid...although I've been complaining, the demo looks amazing. I have a feeling that the game is gonna be amazing as well. Of course, there are things that can be corrected here and there...that's one of the reasons we're posting on this forum.

In the demo, I still have no idea what some options and buttons do; for example auto-aiming, manual aiming, etc. A tutorial is badly needed. I'm having a hard time controlling the men under my command, they pretty much run like headless chickens most of the times. I dunno if you guys played fallout tactics or commandos: behind enemy lines, etc. In those games control was fairly simple and straightforward. What I particularly like in Fallout Tactics was the "sneak" option.

I have to agree with you on the matter of the interface that it is short of being NASA control panel.....which is a bad example of user interface that can scare most people from playing it....I believe the reason that the demo interface is so bad is because it is an early build(if you take a look in the briefing they didn't even fix the typos)

Still, somehow I have feelings that once they released the game, they will include the tutorial.....because if they didn't, I am sure that the critics will be bashing the game for this matter and give it a very ugly score...

Hey, fallout tactics and commandos are my favorites, I still wish they make a sequel or something...

Kid, the latest Commandos sequel, "Commandos Strike force" was pretty much a fiasco. As for Fallout Tactics, Interplay no longer exist, so there's no chance we're gonna see a sequel anytime soon, unless someone buys the rights to the game.

Another thing about the demo that I did not enjoy was the difficulty of the missions, especially "Falaise". Hopefully, with the game, the missions in the campaigns are going to be increasingly difficult, not equally difficult. That would considerably ease the learning curve and the overall quality of the game.

Hey tuckson sonny, i used to read that comic when i was a kid in "Spirou". I forgot what the name of it was, but i know that the kid was called Sonny Tuckson and the older guy was Buck Danny, and there was a third, Jerry "something".

Sorry to go off topic, but i'm old and i like my childhood memories!

I do think though that the devs should have stated somewhere this demo was on easy difficulty. I liked the game, but it put me off that it was so easy. I only found out it was only because it was on easy difficulty setting by reading the forums. If it wasn't for that difficulty mod that guy made (thanks whoever it was) I wouldn't have pre-ordered it.

You seems to possess a quality of being hardcore gamer, then I would like to suggest you to go to file interface.set, located in resource\map\demo\1-2-falaise(you need to extract it from resource.pak) and change

{difficulty easy}
{side allies}
}

to

{location
{difficulty tactics}
{side allies}
}

This should give you more fun thinking of tactics now... Wink

Or just rename tactics to easy so it does both maps.. thats what i did ages ago ^^, its in FoW Demo/resource/set/difficulty/
(haha the game so suxzors on easy like its too friking easy)
