A few times a week I logon and have to wait for someone to start a game. I have v1.04.01 and I bought and registered my game.

Why can I not Host a game??? (I could when the old "official server" was running a few months ago.)

Help appreciated!

Because of your Firewall.

Do you have a modem or a router?
If you've modem, then you've got a firewall on your PC, if you've got a router, it's a built in one and at times they can be a right pain.

The "Official Server" (Dedicated servers), Allow you to host because you'r hosting threw them, Instead of on your computer.

I hate them "offical servers" because of how they go down every so oftern, especialy in middile of games.

In the addon that's coming this is fixed. And you'll be able to host

I actually figured out my own problem. If you are using a linksys router, you need to login to the router and edit the DMZ Host settings. You will need to tell the router that the computer you are playing on is the DMZ Host, via the IP Address entry.

For example, if your DMZ host is 10.1.1.1 and your computer is 10.1.1.2, you will need to change the setting to 10.1.1.2. See you linksys manual for details on how to configure your router
