Welcome to the SH Forums, coachbrown. Happy to have you aboard. Big Grin

When you pull into port to refit the torpedoes loaded are only the spare torpedoes. So when you pull into port with your Gato (example) with all torpedoes expended and click refit it loads just the spare torpedoes (14 in number). Your forward and stern tubes have not been loaded. Use the mouse pointer ingame and drag one of the spare torpedoes into any empty tube, this will load all ten tubes. Hit TC for a few moments until the tubes are loaded then click on the refit again (blue anchor in the silver square in the upper right hand corner). This will give you the rest of your torpedoes. That way you get your full load of torpedoes (24). Hope this helps.

one more question, does it matter what port your at? for instance, i wiped out some ships and spent every torp i had, so i went to the closest refit facility, but there is nothing to drag (click and point etc) so am i in a wrong port?

If your using version 1.4 or better your Home Port icon is a tilted anchor -

A Refit Port will be a straight up anchor -

You should see an anchor appear in the top right corner when you get near your port.

It doesn't matter which port you go to when you want to refit, it just has to have an icon at it's port like one of the above.

Actually you don't have to wait for the tubes to reload, at least not in 1.5. If you click the refit again right after dragging a reserve torp into a tube to be loaded, it will refill the empty reserve slots right away.

And FYI, using the refit method is a way to get free torps when the game starts charging you renown for the later models. Buy them in-base the first time, fill up all the slots, and when you do a refit it will always replace them with that model. If you have any empty slots when you return to base, they will automatically be filled with Mark 14s, requiring you to buy them again if you want just those torps.
