My understanding of Mods with online play is...

If you have one of the Supermods installed then you HAVE to play with players who have the same mod installed.

If you have minor mods installed then it may not be an issue but if you install something like a liner and the others dont have it then their games cannot read the neccessary information and will therefore crash.....
