Newly installed SHIV V1.5 but doubt my rig can handle it. Game CTDs after a few minutes especially when view is on the bridge, So, what can I do to improve? I have a P4 2.2ghz, 3g ram but only the mobo graphic adapter, Intel 82945G with 128 m ram, tunning XP2. FPS when viewing Nav or Command is 40-50fps, but when switching to bridge or periscope it drops below 5 fps.
Forgot to add PC specs Microcenter Powerspec B613, has 2 PCI Express ports for a better video card, but I don't know much about these and would just like to be able to run the game without spending too much on a new card.
Been looking and would like some advice on this card, VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card. It's around $125. Will it support SHIV?

That card should fit the bill very nicely I would think, jldjs.
I installed a VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 graphics card and the game runs fine. I am not at all familiar with all of the settings for this card so I just use it as it installed. So, are there any adjustments recommended for the graphics for use with this game? The monitor supports both RGB and DVI and I cabled both to this card.
Set the game to the native resolution for your monitor. Increase AntiAliasing and Anisotropic filtering until the frame rate drops too low, then take it back a step. I would turn VSync on as well.
