Okay, I installed Silent Hunter 4 on my new computer. I was able to play the game in the sub school missions fine. But when I try to play the game in the american campaine, the computer would lock up maybe 5 or more minutes into the game after continuing form a saved game. I have Silent Hunter 4 Gold addition wich is patched to 1.5 I believe. I have no mods installed.
I had no problems at all on my old Athlon 64 2X system running Windows XP Multimedia Addition.
Can anyone point me in the direction to fix this probelm. Thanks! I did do a search to no availe.

My New System Specs:
Windows Vista Premium 64 Bit
Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0 Ghz 630i
4 Gigs of Ram
NVIDIA Ge Force GTS 240
Creative Sound Baster X-Fi Titanium

First, Welcome to the SH Forums, Shadownine1. Happy to have you aboard. Smile

First I would ask you is where do you have SHIV installed. If you've installed the game used its default path which puts the game in ProgramFiles (x86), then you need to uninstall and then reinstall the game directing to your C: drive using any name you choose for the install. In Vista the Program (X86) does funny thing to games like making them crash.

If you've already done that, next question is are all your drivers up to date?

BTW, nice computer. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the quick responce, I did have it intalled in the defualt location (Program Files). I am currently installing it directly to C: like you suggested. I Will also check to see if everything is up to date to. Thanks again.
