I got GRAW2 about a week ago and it crashed on me right from the beginning, but it was doable. However after the mission in the beginning where the rebels blow up the supermarket it has become unplayable. I've tried it just yet 4 times and the furthest I got was on the roof going through the nearby alley.

One of my biggest problems is that my screen goes pitch black and there is some HD activity, but after that the screen stays black and I'm forced to reset my PC.

I got the 1.05 patch, the 7.11.13 PhysX software-update en running the latest Nvidea Drivers for my card. I'm running on WinXP patched to the fullest, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+, GeForce 8600 GT, Mobo ASUS M2NPV-VM and I'm using it's onboard sound.

Hopefully some has some good ideas as I'm out of them and I'd like to play the rest of the game.

Hi. what nvidia driver do you have? you say the latest.. If you have the 169.25(WHQL), it should be alright for the 8600GT. And do you have 1 or 2gig mem? Maybe 1gb is not sufficient. 2 makes a big difference in playability!

Try disabling the Physix card or remove it and see what happens. Also, check for heat related issues such as vid card fans and all hardware related fans ( power supply, and so on...)
