Hi, after reinstalling Ghost Recon 2 on a new hard drive I'm getting this error...
It only started when I installed the newer Nvidia PhysX Drivers, I can't roll back the drivers, but the game continues to crash, anyone have any idea's? |

I get the same error, single player or multiplayer, searched high and low for a solution... but seems like no one plays this game as much anymore... hence no support...
Well the game is now shelved until I find a fix. This might help... http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/681102132/m/4541024766 |

Papafoghorn what video card are you running and driver version...? I'm currently running an 8800 GTX OC2... Mass Effect has been crashing too... I really think that 175.16 has issues with 8000 series cards.
This started happening when I upgraded a driver... tried several roll backs but I'm still at a loss... Currently staying way way far away from SP3 I've had a really bad experience with my comp at work... It's an AMD box but my rig at home is Intel, do you think it SP3? |

Just updated from 175.16 to 175.19 still not working!!!!
Diagnostic on the PhysX card all checks out... I'm thinking GRAW2 needs to be patched so there's no conflict.... still getting C STACK PhysXCore problem!!! |

I have been playing GRAW 2 on quite few diferent PCs. When I was playing on my older PC it seemd great though it took very long to load maps/missions due to AMD 3000+ OC 2.1GB. Now I bought brand new machine: ASUS nForce 780i, Core 2 Quad Q9450@2.66GB, GeForce 9800GTX, Geil BlackDragon 2GB... on Windows XP SP3. Now here is the thing: 9800GTX supports NVIDIA PhysX and it is supported by newest drivers (8.06.12) but I have no PhysX in game options, only "normal PhysX" can be selected. I wonder, probably game supports PhysX produced only by AGEIA and not NVIDIA's. I have to say, I am very disappointed. I have a 1000EUR PC and no PhysX. Can I expect any patches that would change this.
PS: There is not so much of a diference between low and high settings, looks almost the same. |

Hi
Do you use an x-fi soundcard, I would get same error message as you, but game would run ok when using generic audio option. I then installed old x-fi driver from Dec 2007, game ran with no crashes, also runs ok with latest driver release dated July 31st 2008. Hope this helps. |
