For quite a while now Ubi has used the GRAW banner on the Forums Index, yet look at the percentage of people complaining about GRAW on the GRAW forums. It's looking like not only bad advertising for them but yet another indication of how clueless they are about their own customer's opinions.

I tell ya man, I look at what goes on in this forum and their lame excuses for shoddy games they put out and I can't help but think other big titles of their's being anticipated like Far Cry 2 and Assassin's Creed for PC will be botched too. Look at all the French names in the credits at the end of GRAW 2 and you can see that Ubi was mostly responsible for it's flaws.

I'd start this post off with the phrase "No offense, but...", however I kinda do mean offense and don't feel the need to be polite about it. It seems that you've tried to create some grand illusion by linking this thread to the banner and thusly justify what is just another complaint thread. I could go on with what I really think about that, but I should just leave it as it is.

Yeah, I mean that banner, which advertises GRAW on their main forum index page as if it were the best example of Ubi's games. Even the yet to be released Far Cry 2 would be better than a game that is utterly lacking in proper support, as you well know Colin and has been discussed at length.

In fact I spend a lot more time on the Ubi Far Cry 2 forum anymore than here. I've only played through GRAW 2 once and I'm not looking all that forward to playing it again. Not to mention half the posts here are complaints of one kind or another about GRAW, making it obvious it's not much of a conversation piece.

I didn't say that, I said complaints about the game have been made before. Here I an making a point about forum structure in the form of Ubi's insisting on beating a dead horse in highlighting a dead product.

You talk in two tongues Colin, you admit there are many problems with GRAW but yet you insist on toeing the line for Ubi concerning GRAW's hype. You really ought to make up your mind or just admit you're shining us on like they do.

Well, Colin, since you've validated the topic I'll give a serious opinion.

For one, whether or not the game is 'good' or 'bad' is simply a matter of objective conjecture. Therefore the people who like the game are perfectly happy that GRAW is featured in the banner. Not that 98% of us pay attention to the banner in the first place. I simply scroll down to the forums I want to view.

Secondly, despite anyone's opinion it is Ubi's forum, Ubi's game and they have every right to advertise it. I expect it! Just imagine how dumb they'd be to release a **** game they'd invested a lot of money in and then not even bother advertising. Just because most GRAW forum dwellers don't like it I'm sure they're not going to hide their heads in shame and pull all advertising for their products.

After thinking about this regardless if a game sucks or not, the banner at the top does not tell you about the game either way.
Infact the screen above is not even PC related its a standard console shot.

If the banner was to change it should be more inline with the PC version of the game as this is the PC forum.

I want to give my negative 2 cents worth but I can't because I don't understand what the fuzz is all about. If we're saying that UBI blows Goats then... I'm in!
