Every time my game starts up, I get the error message:

Crash in application version: grpcrc1.35

Failed setting up render device.

I downloaded the patch from ubisoft (v1.35) and it still happens. I run a laptop on vista, 2 gigs of RAM, and I run the game in compatibility mode for windows xp srvice pack 2. I have read a few previous topics of people who have experienced my problem, but none of their fixes seem to work. Any clue on why this is?

I would really love to play my game soon... three days of trying ot get it work is starting to anger me past the point of furiously slamming my hand into my desk...

2 gigs of ram should do, but what graphic processor is on your laptop? does it use shared memory?
Running background programs?

Laptop? Vista? 2GB's of Ram only? more than likely a bargain bin video card = bad bad experience playing this game or any other newer games.

Also, w/o having the proper specs on your laptop is hard to help more.
