I'm crying all over my new suit here!
I just spent the last 11 monthes in a military hospital absolutley daydreaming about this game... I was a victim of a hit and run oil tanker attack outside Tikrit, Iraq on May 4, 2006. Anyways, I have'nt played the series since the original. I've been busy. I just installed GRAW2 and it says I can play but, "I DO NOT MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS". My FOUR Errors are... CPU FREQUENCY.... 1202 Main Memory.... 256 Shader Model.... 1.100000 Graphic Version.... 6462 I'm pretty broke and just spent out $50 on this game. HOW DO I FIX THESE ERROR$ ? Thanks all! So I just tried to play the game for the first time and it immediatley gives me this...
"Send Error Report" Graw2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. MY CHOICE... tell Microsoft, typical SEND or DONT SEND box. So when i click on the bottom area of box to see "details" its says... AppName: graw2.exe AppVer: 1.4.0.2989 ModName: graw2.exe Anyways, there's more about modules. I have zero way of accessing the game. Thanks again. |

Basically your system is not up to par to play GRAW 2.
Look at the minimun requirements for the game (they can be found on the box the game came in) and compare with your hardware. You need a 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 CPU or better, 1 Gb of RAM or more (you seem to have 256 Mb) and a videocard compliant with shader model 2.0 (yours is compliant with 1.0). Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 4 Gb Corsair XMS2 Pro 6400 Inno3D Geforce 8800 GTX Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit |

HoolywoodHigh I feel you got a good sence of humour so Ill let ya have between the eyes.
Always read the minimum specs on the box before buying a pc game. |

Negatory good buddy. Sorry to break the news to you. I feel for ya man. But the only way you can run this software is if you have the hardware to do it. And right now you don't. And I think you're going to need more than a few upgrades to get there. You could probably get something decent for anywhere from $1,000 - $1,500 US/CAN at Dell or otherwise. The nice thing about Dell is that everyone under the hood is covered under one warranty. The drawback is that you can't tweak your hardware as much. But for anyone with limited knowledge, tweaking can be dangerous ground anyway. Good luck. |

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM DELL!!!!
If you want to play games, the last thing you want is to pay DELL for a mediocre gaming PC. For 1500 dollars you can buy very good brand stuff if you are patient and know what you want. Last year I built my PC, not High-End (3K to 4K DELL ways) but strong enough to play all the latest games, yes, you heard it correctly... ALL OF THEM! (Crysis, CoD4, GRAW 2, Krappy Vegas, Bioshock, etc, etc.). What did I get for that 1500 bucks? 22" LCD monitor Aluminus PC case EVGA 680i Motherboard Toughpower 600w SLI PSU (Out of Box) 2 120mm LED Fans Intel E6300 (O/C to 2.1 GHZ) 2GB SLI 1066mhz RAM 2 BFG 7800 GTX O/C (Pre-owned, Not a single glitch) SEagate 400GB 7200.10 16MB cache HDD CD/DVD/r/w 5 in 1 floppy disk Logitech G15 Keyboard LOgitech G7 Mouse Gaming Mouse Pad Ultra 1000w UPS I might be missing something but you get the drift. If I did that last year, you can get a much better rig now for the same money. I am sure you gotta have a friend that knows about PC's and can help you with the choosing or your new build, otherwise, go to hardforum.com, become a member and check out the forums... pretty solid info there. Good Luck to you, Happy New Year, get well soon and Thank you for keeping us Safe here in the US. I would gladly help you but I don't want to stir you wrong or force to what little I know about the products out there but if you need a hand... you can count on it. [WARNING:] It did take me more than 4 weeks to get everything and put it together but, I did it in the month of December when finding good deals is tuff because of holiday craze and people buying anything and everything at whatever prices. January should be a good month to buy as everyone is wanting to clear out stuff that they couldn't sell in DEc. ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? GRAW I & II, Vegas 1 & 2 were throwned to the Lion's den and now FC2 is going to suffer the same fate? How Proud are you UBI? |
