In my opinion, GRAW2 could be resurrected by installing random spawns or spawn near team in the next patch. I love the game and GRIN did a good job, but having to run clear across the map to rejoin the fight is a major downside to this game. People get tired of that. Especially, since games like CoD4 have spawn with team built in. I know it can be done because there are a couple of mods out there that have this feature.

Are we talking coop against AI? I don't think a human player would be too impressed if he kills an opponent, with hopes of using it to his advantage, only to find a fresh enemy take its place. At least with a game that's supposed to be taken a little more serious in a tactical gameplay sense.

I'd also tend to feel that there has to be some sort of consequence when dying.

But I guess it depends on the what the group of people playing want.

Good points, but my main thought was to help make the game a little more user friendly in both tango hunt and TDM modes. After all, the main consequence is dying in the first place. Closer spawns would just help people get back in the fight easier. I like the tactical aspect too. Don't get me wrong. However, GRAW2 maps are very large and less time running back to join your team might make the game more attractive and increase server populations, therefore extanding the life of the game and the community.

I agree with Thumper, I like playing the coop missions (they brought me back to the game once I finished Crysis and COD4), and especially the Dam mission, but it's a PITA if you get killed once you've got at far as the dam. It takes a good two minutes of running just to get back in the fight...
Having a spawn point activated at the mule for instance once the dam is reached would save you a minute and a half of running.

This is a classic feature of GR. With so many people crying out for a return to the classic gameplay of GR I would think that this is one of those things that would be preserved.

My only problem with the spawn points was spawn camping. However if spawns were to receive adequate cover systems and multiple exit routes, spawn killing can be overcome with a bit of effort and creative thinking.

I do agree however that GRAW2 could be resurrected. However it's impossible for this to happen without a significant patch and support to follow if necessary. But at this point it's difficult to imagine that this will happen at all.

To be blunt - its been impossible to imagine since the initial release of GRAW.

Especially with Ubisoft at the helm. They are the epitomy of lack of customer support.
