Good day all

Playing GRAW2 again after leaving it for a bit. And it now crashes with-in a minute or two of starting a map, either in single play, or co-op.

----------------------------------------
Crash in application version: 30899.3048

Unhandled exception - access violation

C STACK:
PhysXCore (???) : ???

Renderer: threaded
Physics : threaded
--------------------------------------------

I did notice that the logo that appears before the desktop is still visible was taking a lot longer than usual.

The above is the full error that is displayed.

I have the lastest game patch 1.05.
Running nVidia 8800 GTS 640MB with 175.19 drivers.
SB X-Fi Elite Pro with 2_18 drivers.
Latest PhyX software that was availible from Ageia before they were bought by nVidia i.e. up to engine 2.74.
No PhysX card (but waiting to use my GPU)
Windows XP Pro SP3
All OS and other driver updates are all up to date.

I've seen other postings online when I was searching, suggesting reverting to 2_15 drivers for X-Fi, but there were several users that this did not work for.
Also saw a suggestion to use the new beta nVidia drivers, but again, this didn't work for several users.

Any ideas? There seem to be many people struggling, but no viable solutions.

Thanks in advance, and regards...

Hi
I found that the x-fi drivers from Dec 2007 fixed the game for me.
Was using latest beta drivers, but game still crashed, also crashed with previous driver release in March 2008 i think
Try Dec 2007 x-fi driver release, google search it, I had to uninstall previous driver first as would say setup has detected newer driver so installation cancelled, or something like that

Do you have any mods installed? If so, what?

I found that I caused exactly the same error by changing files I shouldn't have changed.
