Is this a Notebook? I am not familiar with that video card and/or Vista for that matter so I can't help much.
All I can think off at this time is that your Firewall is blocking the game so all it can do is crash... pure speculation though. Another thing you might want to do is uninstall your video and sound drivers, restart and install a fresh copy of them from scratch. Cancel out of the Wizard installation after restart and install from folder where you have downloaded the latest versions. Even if you just done so recently, they may get corrupt. ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? If you guys think the Vegas 2 forums are crowded with hate & Negative posts from the PS3 and the few 360 folks, wait until the PC game is launched... |

Hmmm, you are not helping me help you. Usually when one asks for help, one waits for the reply of others and respondes to the comments made and makes an effort to respond with a lot of info on the questions asked, otherwise, the people trying to help get frustated and move on to the next member asking for help and the one asking for help can't continue playing... get it? ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? dont know if this will help? but it seemed to help me Remove all your old video drivers ( driver sweeper ran in Safe mode) seems to kick butt on these! "then reinstall 169.21 drivers!" for some reason these drivers worked best for me? (in your system32 folder---get rid of ALL files beginning with "NV"! {BEFORE INSTALLING NEW DRIVERS} these seem to kill gaming bad I realize graw says these Physx drivers are needed? so, why it runs great without them "i have no clue" of coarse you can also try the other things including--->Plug in power doggle to card! or make sure your power supply has the power? (mine didn't) oh, almost forgot----> i installed the update from first version strait to 1.35 (it didnt take well at all?) so i reinstalled and updated "one patch at a time" took awile but, Games are kicking butt now the problem is! I cant really say what "one thing" did it?? In my case, I believe ALL those things played a role In my gaming woes |

When deleting your files begining with "NV" in the system32 folder, be sure to uninstall any nvidia devices such as RAID, NETWORK related, AUDIO and so on before you proceed, as all nvidia device drivers will also be in that folder. You don't want to delete all nvidia related non-video drivers while the devices are still INSTALLED.
I would just uninstall video drivers and use DriveSweeper to delete any video drivers left in that folder. |
