Hi all I just wanna share my subjective opinion on GRAW and GRAW2.
My wife and I have just played through these two games in co-op mode and in many ways we like them a lot. We also played GR back when they were new too but always only in co-op. There's quite a few bugs in these games that I hope UBI is workin on. Apart from all the bugs that have been talked about here on this forum to many times I have a pair of other very anoying ones that we experienced. One is on the mission "Joining forces". When we have taken out the tank and start working on all the snipers flanking the way to the trainyard we find ourselfs sometimes get stuck under the rubble when we die and re-spawn. That is = game over for us cause it's meaningless to continue the game with the missionleader stuck under rubble one in co-op mode. Another bug is on the mission "Vip2 is down" where the mission get to an halt after we have taken out the convoy. We have killed all enemies but nothing more happens just the "You leaving the mission area!" when we try to move on. We have spent hours to look for any enemie we might have missed but with no result and "yes" we even got the 2 enemies hiding in a house directly to the left from were we start the mission. If the lack of more friendlies in the GR group is due to more intelligence of the AI I dare to say they have done something wrong hehe. I look forward to more self thinking AI in future GR. What irritates us is also things like all the tanks we have to give orders don't shoot back on enemies without getting told so. And the fact that it's sometimes impossible to shoot in a straight line close to a building is boring. And do real armies use anti vehicle rockets to hit infantry? Offcouse they might in a desperate situation with no other weapon but the rocketlaunching enemies in this game are like snipers with high explosive ammo. And there really should be a way to not having to start co-op mission from beginning when not succeding. It's getting frustated sometimes to have kill the same old enemies over and over. Another thing, I don't know if I should consider it's a bug or not but the fact that you can't lay prone on a slope and aim straight forward in GRAW is a minus. The rifle points upwords instead of downwords. But the most anoying thing is to not be able to climb small piles of junk or blow up a fence to make a shortcut. Sometimes the game feels to much like running in a corridor even though we are in a city. But still it's a fantastic game with great looks and cool effects. A patch or two on GRAW 1 and 2 and a promise to make a "GRAW3" with more friendly units ability to think for themselfs would make my day. With "think for themselfs I mean that they don't run infront of friendlies shooting or run the wrong side of houses and get shot and that they should be able to crouch or lay prone when the situation demanding such posisions. I'm also thinking about that they often turn their backs to the enemy. It would also be nice if they could use handgranades and riflegrenades. Thanks for reading :-) This message has been edited. Glad you enjoy the game in spite of the problems it does have.
