quite often I place my sniper across from the storage tanks, under the roof, and cover the upper portion of the road, when I get done clearing all the enemy, I tell them to follow, and they say they are doing it, but they just stand there, sometimes I can run back and nudge them, and they will finally follow me, most times, nothing, they just stand there, HELP?

It's just pathing issues, it happens in both GRAW1 and GRAW2. You need to tell them to 'move' to a location to get them unstuck, then when they get close to you, thats when you tell them to follow.

they can't follow if they cant see you will you follow me if you can see me or do i need to tell you to go hear and then there now follow me i think so use the tab key and 1 2 or 3 and clik a path you want them to go no till there with you or send them a head of you

If this is GRAW2, you can control there patrhs manually by going to Cross-Com full player view. I've had them stuck, but managed to get them to follow me by using this spiffy tool. And they don't need to see you to follow you. I've been around corners and have them follow me when I leave them behind for cover.
