What can you do? BREATH!!! walk slow and save your game often.
Do a search for Last ACT or BRIDGE and you'll find plenty of walkthroughs for the last level... I should know, I posted it enough times ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? Dont mind Want2Snipe. He's a grizzled old gunny sergeant and we are a bunch of privates.
By breathing, he means slow down, take your time. You cant save any more til you get over the bridge. Use the arty strike to take out the to gun emplacements side by side. Use the airstrike to take out the tank. I made it across but by myself. I used the extra Marines and my fellas to sacrifice themselves so I could make it across. Anyone who makes it across with a his fellas and the Marines intact is a supertrooper. Thanks Laca1880
Thanks for the support. I must admit I have tried this numerous times and I'm starting to give up, its so far the hardest level yet. I have sacrificed my marines but they just get cut down, any further help would be apprciated. Damien |

YOU CAN SAVE!!! walk, pres save, walk a bit more, press save... rinse and repeat!
Get the sniper rifle and the mp5 with scope as secondary, don't forget the ZEUS for the Helo and take your time, check the map for tangos and get to the other side... don't forget to have fun taking down the mounted turrets and snipers on the other side. ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? you say to save at every chance! but iv been playing this for some without the advantage of saving. now in almost to the level that your chatting about and you got my attn. it is getting extremly difficult to get through these parts and id really like the info on saving. im playing on my PC and dont seem to have a save button!! I may be slightly puter illiterate but usually you have to enter somthing to save? can you tell me what that is, or is it a highly kept secret and you would have to kill me if you told---LOL

The default binding for Quick Save is "K" This may or may not help you on this particular mission...GRIN have a twisted sense of humor. First, they insert you right smack dab in the middle of Bandito Central with absolutely no freedom of maneuver, then they also see to it that the quicksave feature is disabled between 2 critical trigger points while on the bridge. ____ "Something wicked this way comes" |

If you go to your OPTIONS in the main menu, on one of the choices is to bind or rebind your keys, if you read all of them you'll see that GRIN has assign a default key for QUICK SAVE... I think I rebind my to F5.
Noquarter, while that is true, there's always ways to circumvent that. if you press your Quick save a few times, walk ahead a few feet and hit that key again, you'll see that you can Quick save... rinse and repeat as needed. ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? This was one of the harder levels but I ended up beating it solo keeping my guys and the marines in the guard stations. And that was without even using the methods I would have had I known what the best course of action was.
Now I don't mean to brag, I mainly played it solo because I find it hard to use my squad without them getting hosed and they don't regain health after reloading a checkpoint save like in GRAW 1. That combined with all the mission over if one gets killed in GRAW 2, well, you get my point. I used a lot of distant shots for the 2nd half of the bridge segment via picking up a dropped assault rifle and going prone. Took out the guys on the left from the left sidewalk of the bridge, the guy in the middle of the bridge on the fixed gun from under the vehicle in front of him, and the guys on the fixed guns to the right same as those on the left. At a certain point the tank will come then you need to get back and use artilery strike. It's best used there as it takes out lots of other guys by the guard station. Use the airstrike on the chopper, it's the only way to be sure you get it. In retrospect I'd have saved the sniper rounds I used for the first part of the bridge on the remainder of the guys in the second half, especially those on fixed guns by the toll booth and RPGs farther back. It can be done prone from a distance with just an assault rifle though. There's just one problem with my rethinking the way I did it and using the sniper rounds for the 2nd half of the bridge. If you equip a sniper rifle you only have room for a compact with scope that is hard to take guys out quick with. That combined with the mission starting via getting shot at and it's hard to keep your guys from getting killed unless you kill quickly or somehow move them and get them to stop shooting. However I really think the best way to go is get your squad to stay put behind cover at the start without them firng and take out at least the two guys on the fixed guns with the sniper rifle as they can shoot through vehicles to a degree and kill your squad. Then advance using vehicles for cover taking out the rest with the compact saving the remaining sniper rounds for the harder targerts on the 2nd half of the bridge. Other than that the last segment of this level is ridiculously easy and the very end is rather pathetic. It's quite a let down from an otherwise challenging and sensible level design. The missile silo itself should have been guarded much better inside and out and it's too easy to flank to get to it. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Six_Gun, |
