I used to play this online a-lot on my 360 - but now I cant be bothered to keep shelling out money for live - so I'm thinking about grabbing it for my PC but how is the multi player community for the PC version(big/small/decent)?  |

I suggest you take up on some reading here before you spend for something you won't even be able to install or play online. If you think you have it bad with XBL, take a look at the top 2 or 3 post on this forum.

Still I would like to know if the game has an active Multi player community (people actually playing the game a lot)

There is never any problem joining a game during the evening. I think the community is actually growing again now with people returning after getting bored with cod4
