I'm bogged down at the blown embassy! I've seen this Embassy blow 100 times. I carry the VIP to the Chopper,blow a couple of tanks,get killed and start the same BS scenario over again! I litteraly despise this game. Once the VIP is in the chopper why didn't they innitiate a save? Instead I destroy all the armor,my team is dead and I stand alone fighting a massive assault only to get killed and start over! I'm glad GRAW2 gave you the option to occasionally save at some point!

If at first you don't succeed, change your tactics. And if you really are on the 101st attempt at the mission then by now you should allready know how many Banditos there are and from where they approach, and that's half the battle.
Use the script against them.

Sounds like your tactics are fubar and not the game...

Keep your men in the area were the VIP was at.
After you direct the apache to destory the two tanks then keep up under cover and kill as many as you can the apache will help when it comes, when it lands and the fire dies down, run to the apache. Myself I'm stuck in Mayday, Mayday the apache will not attack the big guns! Been there for weeks!!!

I find the best way to get past this mission is to use God Mode. Of course it takes the challenge out of the game, but still.

Thanks guys but I've did the walkthought, step by step, then tried other ways, killed everyone in the level, used grandes to plow trucks, shot street lights, gone for long walks and the tanks just sit there! The apache takes orders, and I can see it coming, but when the pilot says, roger, or ok ground the apache disappears!

The tanks don't dissapear after the apache blows them up. The apache will fly away and fade away after blowing up the tanks. Also, make sure your reticle is ON the tank. Have you walked up to the tanks after they've been blown up?

Your best bet is to "cheat" a bit.

You know the hole in the wall the guys rush you through?

Go through there. I think it's to the er... left of the embassy if you're looking out the front.

Set your team up around the trees there well back from being level with the front of the embassy. You need to set one guy up to cover your rear obviously. Then it's just about memorising where the tanks come from and keeping your head down. If you did it right I think the tanks can't get a good shot at you anyway.

I can't remember if:
a) you need a guy on VIP2 till you helo him out. I think the marines keep him safe.
b) the first tank, the one that like parks in front of the embassy can down the alley and you need to move your team round the building when it arrives.

I'm pretty sure noquarter was helping. This game is not easy and like he said if it's not working try a different tactic or possibly reread the walkthrough.
Besides this thread was started over a month ago maybe he got it?
