Hello. I just installed GRAW 2 and applied the 1.05 patch. When I try joining a server, it says "Altered files are not permitted to avoid cheating". Any ideas what's going on?

Well if your game says "Altered files are not permitted to avoid cheating" means you have weapon mods, or some sort of cheat, so the game doesn't let you join that room, try reinstalling.

Like I said, I *JUST* installed GRAW 2. As soon as it was installed, I applied the 1.05 patch and tried joining a server. No mods. Nothing that didn't come with the game or the patch.

Ok, I found some servers that would let me join. The ones that didnt let me join and the ones that did are both 1.05. I also installed my own server on my dedicated box and could connect to that, so I don't know what the problem could be.

Anyone have any ideas?

I suppose most of the servers are still running 1.04 hence the altered files as you're running 1.05...

No, I checked the servers that I couldn't get into and the information said they were version 1.05.

Well, after installing 1.05 I was disconnected a few times from some servers for 'altered gamefiles..' I uninstalled but after that it happened again maybe two times. The strange thing (but I'm happy for it) is that it does not happen anymore since a week or two.
I got no hacks or any of that. -wish I could proof that in some way. The only thing is that I one time LOOKED for how to change reticule colour but because I was not sure, I did not change it. This was short before I (had to) uninstall.
