Is there a way to force GRAW 2 to run at 1280x1024 resolution? That is my monitor's native resolution.

That should not be a problem at all. Start game, choose Options, choose Video, click the small (down-)arrow next to the resolution it is on now, scroll or use the slide downwards to see all possible resolutions and change it.
