Hello. Im new to Ghost Recon advanced warfighter.

I was trying to find a mic option in "options" so that I could talk to my team mates on our LAN (we have a 4 computer lan at our house) but I couldn find anything.

Is there a mic option in this game?

No there is not. You will need to get a voice commmunication package like Teamspeak2 or Ventrilo or similar.

With the 2 above programs, you will need to use an existing server or have one of you set one up. It's not terrible difficult, but you will need to open ports to whichever oomputer is acting as the server. There are free public voice com servers but you will need to find them if you don't want to set them up. Then all your friends have to do is run the client program and join the same voice server before you start GRAW.

Ha! If y'all are in the same house, try opening the doors to your rooms and shouting to each other. You could always use TEAMSPEAK. To my knowledge, or lack of it, there's no microphone capability with the GHOST series and that you need a third party commnication program.

Lol yeah man but our house has like ruthless sound insulation ahaha and as you all know the game can get pretty intense lol and yelling just aint cuttin it lol.

So you can run teamspeak on LAN? Does everyone have to have a mic to run it? Or can they just hear?

You can run it on a LAN. It's just easier if the LAN is connected to the internet and each one of the players can just use a public server. That way you don't have to fiddle around with setting one up on your LAN - but it's not that difficult to do if you want to goto the trouble.

As far as needing a mic... No you don't HAVE to have a mic. You will still be able to hear everything that everyone with a mic says. However you are just going to have to go the low tech recommendation by Luis above to just shout to everyone around you when you need to tell them something...

Yep well I downloaded Teamspeak2. Both Server and Client. The server thing worked easy as, as the client you just "quick connect" using my Ip address and works mint.

A few of the others are getting mics this weekend lol, man intense game.
