Hi

So I started a new game of 360 Double Agent hoping to get rid of all of the unlockables, particularly the enhanced night vision. Yet, when I start a new game, everything is still there, including the enhanced night vision. Got I hate that enhanced night vision. So, I'm wondering if there's any way to get rid of or turn off all the rewards so I can get my classic night vision back. If starting a new game won't do it, then what will? Thanks

You can't turn them off. I guess UBI never thought people would have liked to play without them.

You'd have to make a new profile and just not get the requirements to unlock it. And I agree with you, it's very hard to tell if you're in light or dark with the enhanced vision. It took me a while to get used to it. I like it now, but it was annoying at first. Try giving it some time.

Use the shadows to strike swiftly and silently, and only do otherwise if compromised...

Yeah, well I've given it two years and I just want the classic green back. I particularly hate how it gets all pixelated when you move. AARGH!! Anyways, thanks

Yeah, the best way is just to make a new profile and avoid the objectives that unlock the "upgrades." That way you can play with the classic green and limited gadgets. This also means you have to do the lockpick mini-game again.

This is the ONE thing that I like about the PC version more, the ability to modify what Sam is given. Such as giving Sam his equipment on a HQ level. I don't like you Moss *bang.* LoLz

I think changing the difficulty level resets the unlocked items.

I like the sound wave emitter and the electronic lock pick. But, the enhanced night vision is good only as a concept. I still like the old way of night vision as it shows the levels of lighting in your surrounding.

Lock stock and two smoking barrels: "Guns are for show, but knives are for a Pro!"

That's why after a long hard day of playing the campaign of SCDA, it's always good to cool down with one of the games before it. My reccomendation:

ANY mission from SC. (They're all great)
ANY mission from SCPT. (They're all great)
ANY mission from SCCT.(It's the best game EVA)

Use the shadows to strike swiftly and silently, and only do otherwise if compromised...

I cant think of any upgrade I like. They all take away the suspense and challenge.

Yeah, like that explosive sticky grenade, with enough power to clear out an entire room :P
I didn't like the automatic lock-pick either. That was a unofficial SC trademark; like the nightgoggles were non-full-color.

Yeah, auto lockpicks and enhanced night vision were pretty lame, but starting a new game should reset all the unlocked equipment, I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure.

Do make sure you select the "start new game" option and not just load the first mission. Selecting a different difficulty should also reset them. Hope this helps.
