I did 3 searches and couldn't find anything, but is there any way to disable this? The color nightvision just sucks me out of the game. And I can't find any way to disable it with out either starting on a different difficulty or creating a whole new profile on my Xbox 360. I find it quite irritating and would appreciate help.
You can't disable it. Once you get it you have to deal with unrealisticness for the entire game. There is an xbox version of DA where this doesn't happen but this version is very different than 360 DA and is more like Chaos Theory.
Yep. Your only option is to play through the game and make sure that you never do 4 (maybe 3) of the star objectives.
Why 4 you ask? Because they give you extra opportunities in the game to unlock all of the gadgets if you miss a star objective earlier.
Should you accidentally get one of those during a playthrough, you'll have to start all over again, ugh.
It would have been really great if they had made it such that after getting all the gadgets unlocked, you could just go to your settings pre-game and check/uncheck the ones you wanted to use for any given mission.
About the only one I'd really use is the enhanced hacking upgrade (not the force hacking) and maybe the electric lockpick. The rest I can do without.
