Why was Lambert sneaking around the compound in the first place? Did they ever explain it?

To help Sam out of course.
Was it an urgent matter? |
Yep, an international terrorist organization was trying to blow up New York City.
Just a tad bit urgent. |
I'm pretty sure he knew about that |
I'm pretty sure he was trying to contact Sam again. It's going to be strange not having him in Conviction walking you through everything... |
That's not been confirmed.
He may still be alive, or he may be dead. Nobody knows yet, but my guess is that he's obviously alive. Sam isn't a bad guy. |

True, when lambert is in the chair not moving on the ground I thought he was dead... However, he still shows up on the radar as a living person so I'm not really sure... I'm speaking of the 360 version right now. However in the PS2 version of the game he gets executed by the JBA if you choose to expose him. The story lines between the 2 games don't really match up so I don't know what to think. I hope he's alive though because he's pretty much Sam's only "family" now that Sarah is out of the Picture.
