Well I have a lil' problem in SC1. I can't see dynamic lighting on the ground. This will cause some serious pain-in-the-*** moments for example in Abattoir's minefield and Presidential Palace's courtyard because I can't see spotlight's light. Also lights of torches aren't displayed. I have downloaded patch 1.1 and CAN'T download 1.2 because it says some kind of error all the time. What should I do?
Try to d/l the patch to a different computer and burn it to a CD to install.
The lighting problem is an old one that is related to newer Nvidea drivers and also newer video cards. To date I don't think there have actually been any fixes for the problem other than to locate the oldest drivers for your card and install them until you get one that still works.
For some video cards/drivers there just isn't a fix, so find an old, cheap yet supported card, install it temporarily to run the game, then replace it for your newer games? Either that or just ditch the PC game and play one of the console versions (PS2/Xbox).
