So I have tried multiple times to go through the first mission to infiltrate and every single time I get spotted once -3%. During the game, I never noticed that I was spotted.

Is it possible to infiltrate without getting noticed and get 100% on the first mission? I suspect that we are noticed because my idiot partner get's himself discovered then shot leaving me to disarm the missile.

I'm trying to get the "The Invisible Man" achievement for days now.

There's actually a bit of a bug in that mission.

In the fenced area with the spotlight and two guards, if they even become suspicious it will count as if they'd seen you (so if you see them turn red, try again).

Also, for the achievement, IIRC it can be done on any mission, so don't worry too much about getting it on Iceland. Smile

FYI, I just posted the solution to this for Jazz_117 HERE. I won't duplicate it, so go check that one out. There are two links to videos of the area that use a different method than I do, and my written guide.

True Coastal, but there is an achievement for getting 100% on all missions, IIRC...

Really? I could have sworn it was just the one. Let me see if I can find a list... here we go.

Yeah, the only one I could think of was Professional Ninja, but I know they don't need to be 100% (though I'm sure I'm not the only one that did it anyway). Smile

Thanks guys!

Following the guides posted by Warrior0fLight, I always get's noticed when in the fenced area and trying to get to the next section by using the ladder. Every time I climb the ladder onto the next area, the guards notice me (they turn red). Any suggestions?

I guess I just tend to notice the stealth ones more because they're the only ones I have a chance of getting. LoL

An achievement for getting 100% on all missions would have been cool, though. Smile

I remember having to save at the top of that little ladder - as long as I didn't move after getting to the top, the guy patrolling below didn't see me. From there, I had move quickly away as far as I could. If I moved but stopped too near him again, he'd "notice" me.

Where exactly are you when they turn red? If you are on top, after the first ladder, you must move to the base of the second ladder so they won't see you. Also heed what Coastal mentioned...

You're possibly moving up the ladder when the first guard is facing your way. On your next run try to wait for the second guard to go by you twice before heading to the ladder so that the first one might be facing away.

Patience, quick but quiet movement and timing are all key to this section. Keep trying and you'll eventually get it!

If my written method isn't working for you, try Stealthy_U's video. I was never successful using it, but I think it's just the style of gamer you are that makes one better than the other...

Actually, I should have been more specific. I used Stealthy_U's video since it was more my style.

It turned out, they did notice me at the ladder every single time, but it was deceivingly not counted. You could see a red dot on the perimeter of the radar, but not counted.

Instead, I had not knocked out the guy when coming up from the water. When I cut the wiring to turn off the power to the fence, he got alerted. Duh!!!

Thanks guys! Much appreciate the help. I posted this on the Xbox forums, and it is just dead there....

So, I got this achievement not too long ago, but decided to try it again on the first mission.

I spent hours and I swear I'm not discovered except for one place, that I also got discovered last time, but was not counted.

It is when I climb the ladder up to the platform to enter the ladder on the silo. Now I'm never noticed by the two guards down stairs, but there is a guy that spots me on the edge of my radar. I think he is on the platform when you enter the building. That is the only place that I see a red dot. In the past, it was not counted against me, but now I'm stomped as that is the only time I ever see a red dot on the far edge of my radar.... Don't know what to believe.

Now I watched the videos of stealthy and he get's the same sound go off right before he enters the ladder to the silo suggesting he is discovered by the guy described above. Yet he get's a hundred percent stealth.

Any hints, because all the videos I have seen so far does not show the radar so I can't verify my findings.

I'm playing on the easiest level as I'm new to this whole game as well as the stealth genre. Any suggestions?

This level is major f'up! Is the rest of the game like this? It seems inconsistent on when and how the enemy discover me....

Seems odd that you would get it one time and not the next, doing the same thing.

I never even played it on the easiest level, so I don't know if that causes the 'perimeter' guard alert to count. I do know that on the harder levels, the alert from a distant guard doesn't count against me.

You did mention earlier that you had to KO the first guard, from the ice entry, to get past that, so perhaps that's the cause of your problem - again?

As to the rest of the game... NO, this is the only real 'buggy' part that I encountered. It seems that UBI puts some lame little 'intentional glitch' in all of it's more recent SC games. On Chaos Theory there was a "2 ID'd" that was hard to figure out. On DA for the original Xbox there is one on the prison level that no one has ever figured out, another "ID'd" situation. One gamer, Gidrah, figured out how to get past all but one of the 4-5 spots where you're ID'd.

So I figured it out, silly me and shame on the game for constantly misleading me.

Things to watch out for:

a) After you zip-line onto the platform (after turning off the power to the fence, climbing it and then climbing the ladder to the zip-line) and start descending onto the platform below where there is a guard, you have to be super quiet. If the dogs start barking, you are detected and start over! Relod from checkpoint!

b) The red dot on the perimeter of the radar in the sensitive area with the two guards patrolling right before you reach the ladder on the silo is not counted towards intruder detection counter. This is confirmed multiple times by me.

c) Listen for a special noise that indicates you were detected, even if there is no red dot on the radar when approaching an enemy to knock them out. If you hear the sound, you are detected regardless of what the radar says.

d) If you are moving, the radar does not pick up enemies.

Ubisoft really need to teach people how to play this game. I consider myself a patient guy and so I sat through at least 15 hours of messing around and learning the ropes so far, but I do not think the majority would.

Overall great game so far, but terrible presentation for the beginners!!!
