Stop exaggerating. Even in the original Splinter Cell games there were always plenty of lighting and ambient brightness so that you can clearly see almost every object, and even in the dark parts you could use night vision. The only time that's not true is in the Prison mission in Version 2 of Double Agent because it's dark and you don't have night vision, but even then when you're interrogating a guard or something and his face looks like a dog, it'd get annoying.

I exaggerate the degree of blackness a little bit, so what? The point is that when it comes to graphics, Splinter Cell fans aren't really asking for much.

Sure we want it to look good, but if it's not perfect, we're not going to hate you, as long as the game play is amazing.

And if the gameplay's not amazing, then...

... then we are going to hate you.

That's pretty much what you can assume of every game that isn't amazing. People won't love it, and you won't make a lot of money off of it.

Nobody's asking for the graphics to be perfect, they just want it to be detailed and realistic enough to keep the game immersive. Even if graphics aren't as important as the gameplay, they should improve quite a bit as the series progresses and it is a problem if the graphics are ignored by the developers.

I tried to play through PT again after I beat it initially, and just couldn't do it. It's such a horrible game IMHO. I've only beaten DA through twice, once on easy, and once on hard, to get the achievement. That SP is really hard to play through also.

I'd have to say the original and CT are tied for me because I can find both very good strengths and very bad weaknesses in both games. Although, the first XBox game I ever really fell in love with was SC1 Big Grin

What the hell... how is Pandora Tomorrow a horrible game? Or are we all just going to say all of Ubisoft Shanghai's games are bad?

I thought Pandora Tomorrow was definitely on par with Chaos Theory, if not better. I think the locations in CT are pretty bland, PT has a lot of varied locations that make it a lot more interesting.

I think that that CT is a little bit better... To me, PT seemed to take place too much in closed off areas. CT has many different locations, and many more features. I'am not downing PT, I just think that CT is better... But PT is still great!

I liked Pandora Tomorrow, especially the Jerusalem level. Plus Dennis Haysbert's in it.

bow
And I play all SC games. Especially Chaos. I hardly touched DA, but that's cause I just got it, and I work. But I might pick it up.

I agree %100. "Nothing beats the original" says my stubborn gaming side, but Chaos is amazing. SC1 is such a challenge. Pres Pallace.

CIA HQ and Presidential Palace were easily the hardest in the first one.

I think that PP and the abatior, (or however you spell it) were the hardest ones. It took me a while to beat PP, and I would get a checkpoint occasionally with me being shot. The most frustrating part was the library, until I figured out you could run past it... Smile

In CT, I'd say KS and the Bathouse were the hardest levels.

But that's what makes them great!

The library in the palace was pretty hard to get by without laying out all of the guards.

Yeagh... Unless you hit them like 12 times or through their little eye holes, it's really annoying... But I found out that ussually the left door to the basement is open, and the second your get out of the elevator you can pass them by running for your life. If it's not open, try the other door. It will always be the same if you reload, unless you reastart the level, because then everything respawns differently...

Try that ! Smile

They just never get old... Until DA for ANY system, you could play them over and over again... DA, you play it once every couple of weeks to months...

I play CT all the time. But I never really play SC1 or PT, I just play them every once in a while.
