Just wondering: Did anyone notice the inconsistency of the cutscene when Lambert tells Sam his daughters dead in the Next-Gen version of DA?
In the Old-Gen, Lambert pulls Sam out of the mission early and says something is wrong involving his daughter. So Sam listens, runs out and through the snow, to the helicopter, jumps in and asks "Lambert, whats going on?" acting very freaked out and worried! That was fine! However in the Next-Gen version. Sam goes through the the 1st mission fine. He is told to blow up the missile, he does that and is rushed out because the place is about to explode. He is exfiltrated by a helicopter like the O-G....BUT he climbs a rope up to the helicopter. They then cut to the cutscene and shows the same clip from the O-G version of Sam running through the snow and jumping in the helicopter asking "Lambert, whats going on?". Anyone else find this odd? |

There were a great # of problems between the black box and 360 versions. Seems Shanghai developers were too lazy to build or even check their own cutscenes, other than the interactive ones.
Very disappointing, but that aside, if you can ignore the glaring omissions, etc., the 360 version SP is quite challenging to beat with all 100% and zeroes in your final stats. You just have to ignore the actual storyline and cutscenes, LOL! |

lol ya you do really have to look past any inconsistancies. There are bound to be some when you are making 3 versions of the exact same game. I'm ok looking past any mistakes though cause I honestly really loved the 360 version of DA. It was extremely challenging! I still haven't gottan more then 50% on the Kinsasha level and that is really low compared to what I usually get. |

It's tough, but I've found ways past most of the tough spots such that I can now get 100% and all zeroes in my stats on the hardest level. For instance, when you start the 'second' part in the daylight, make your way through the fence and to the small wall on the left and hide there. When the one guard that's left starts walking to the right, keep to his right and just behind him. Once you get near the boxes ahead, hide on the right side of them and he turns around to move the other way. Save here as the next section may take several tries to get the speed/timing right. Watch around the end of the boxes and another soldier will 'direct' an RPG hit then start moving away. As soon as he turns away, stand up and run full speed into the ally, all the way past the palm tree, then do a drop-roll to get behind the soldier who is about to move through the stuff hanging from the clothes line. Grab him and back up into the nearby doorway, pull and hold the left trigger to do a 'stealth KO' (won't count in your stats). If done correctly, the second guard won't get curious, but if he does and is heading your way, quickly drop the body to the right of the door and wait with back to the wall until he comes in, then grab him also. Place their bodies in the corner just across from the door as this is the ONLY spot you can put them and not get 2 bodies found in the stats! Next, check your OPSAT's 3D map and watch the soldier in the building across the street. Once he moves away (left, IIRC) from the window head back out the door, keeping close to the wall. Go around the next corner, keeping to the right, then move against the wall ahead on the left such that you can use your camera to see around the corner. I found it's easiest to use the OPSAT's 3D map and watch for the street soldier to be moving away and the soldier in the building above him also, now move through and to the left until you can reach a small building attached to a wall just under a window. Jump onto the tin roof and climb through the window to your next checkpoint. Watch out, as there's a soldier on the floor around the corner who's about to commit suicide with a 'nade. You have to trigger him to do it by moving towards him (talk about poor graphics on this spot, ugh) and then back into the room where the checkpoint was until he blows up. Now you can move past the area safely. Again, use the 3D map to see when the soldiers underneath where the dieing one was move away so you can safely move out onto the bus and drop quietly to the ground on the other side. At this point I often forget saving the woman on the bus because after you save her and move on she gets blown up by a tank shell anyway! I use the SC20K's smoke 'nades here (there are 3 of them) to shoot ahead on the left so I can move undetected past this warzone and into the back alley on the left. If you want my stealth method of how to get past the next part, just post here and I'll try to help you out. |
