im not sure how to mix the chems in the cyro chamber. we grabbed both vials and are not sure how to mix them without dying each time. please help

The trick to this is your timing. In your OPSAT there should be a list of 'mixtures', like this: ACFDE and BADCF (it varies depending on the difficulty level you're on). The first player would press A, the second player B then repeat for each combination D,A - F,D - D,C - E,F. There is a very short time limit that you have to complete each combination before it blows. Once done you will head up the elevator to eventually locate the result of your work.

It's been a long time since I've played coop but I think there's been a PC and a compartment in the room where one of you has to push a button to let the other one inside (because it's only possible to open the room via that button or from inside) and the PC or (optional) compartment holds the formula that tells you, how you have to mix the virals. The rest is exactly like Warrior0fLight already explained.
