For SCCT, I have the NTSC-J version of it and can only find the VS MP DLC maps (Steel and Polar) for download when I go into vs mode and access Live > DLC. Under co-op, there isn't an option to access Live > DLC. How does this work in the US version?

The packaging for SCDA on XBOX (original) lists it as having DLC but I see no option in the game's menu for this. Is this just a misprint?

In Chaos Theory, when I select the co-op mode then a profile, I get options for xbox live, split-screen, system link and option. Under Xbox Live I get 6 items and the last one on the bottom is Download. When I select that it lists the two co-op maps, Nuclear Plant and UN Headquarters.

You can also select Solo, a profile, then Xbox Live (4th option) then download to get the co-op maps.

As to Double Agent, they probably put that on the packaging just in case they did decide to make it available, but didn't. As far as I know, there has never been any DLC available for it. If it were to be made available, there would probably be a 'title update' that added the menu item or just a pop-up in the menu that would alert you to the availability of new content.

I'm pretty sure that DLC label means the game can support DLC downloads.

I want a proper sequel to Chaos Theory that retains the same core gameplay mechanics and storytelling seen in the series pre-Double Agent while adding to the experience with innovative features. I do not want a rehash or clone of Chaos Theory.

Just an update, borrowed my friend's US version of CT and was able to get the co-op maps DLC. It also did a system update both co-op/vs sides. (maybe now I can play online with him and not have issues?)

Problem is that the Japanese version of CT still doesn't display the DLC maps in the menu. After the system updates, it changed all of the menus to English when they were Japanese but certain voices are still in Japanese...just really odd...

Definitely strange. I suppose the Japanese version blocked the DLC maps for some political reason, who knows? If you contact UBI support they might be able to answer that.

Now that you have the maps, if your friend hosts and invites you with either of the DLC maps selected, perhaps it will let you join him. I'd at least give it a try to see what happens. Barring that I'd say you're out of luck without buying a US/UK version of the game.

I thought the same thing so we are going to try to have him invite me to the DLC map.

I know a guy at UBI in Japan and he basically told me that UBI doesn't care about the market here so Kola Cell was never translated for the original SC, same for these CT co-op missions.

It's really a catch 22 since their translations were poor in their earlier titles like SC and with a rep for poor service, UBI titles will never sell.
