This never was a problem for me... I just noticed a lot of people can play a spy for hours and not feel like switching ever. I saw this in every SC title with multiplayer ('cept for Double Agent current gen lol) At least I can usually be a merc if I feel like it. Yeah I just never really got those folks.

Same problem here...I hate when people don't want to switch teams and be a Merc they always want to be a Spy!

I've met the worst.
A punk named Slavic. Constantly complained about how he was crappy as a mercenary. He never called himself a spywhore. He said he was "spy only". And he was a terrible spy too. Don't ever allow him to play on your server, he'll hold up the game for minutes before he switches. By no means should you go to a server hosted by him...for obvious reasons. Punk will say "my rules" And fellows to answer your questions, spywhores are little boys. No older than 11 or 12. No why? Simple; because no teenager in the entire world is such a douche, to the point where he refuses to play 10 mins of a class he doesn't like because he has no idea what he's doing. I felt sorry playing with him as a merc. As a merc he generally seemed confused, unknowing and at times frightened. But again he went spy. Half the time, Slavic said I was cheating because I always knew where he was. And I always knew where he was because he sucked at getting passed passive defenses. He did not know at all how to disarm mines, so you could put them right in front of him and he'd still set them off. If I ever see that ******* online again, I'll use his butthole to store my frags in. But because I gave him a hard time, he probably blacklisted me. Too bad, I enjoyed using him as target practice. An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |

Ehh..just do I do. When the whole room is waiting on one n00b to switch and he won't, I just kick him.
*****y? Yes. But it's VERY rude of him to hold up the whole room because he is a spy whore. -- Jackie Fiest Proud Ironside n00b Derwen Llewelyn: WTF is THIS??? The God of bright shadows is a goddamn hobo?? |

Yeah, this sucks. It's like Mercs have AIDS or something lol.
Bllasae-Pronounced "Blay-say". |

I wanted to do that, but what you have to understand is that I'm not very good at the game. I'm a medium merc I guess and a rookie spy who can't defend himself. I have no pride or shame. Playing against guys like Slavic, and wasting them effortlessly gives me a big boost in self esteem. An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |

I like Mercenaries better, i could never get a hang of being a spy. I'm better with a merc but still noob and if your a good spy there is a likely chance that it will be easy for you to kill me. I just think that spys would be better if they had pistols.

I just play Chaos Theory where it doesnt happen that much and most of the times you switch but when it happens it is just annoying i really dont like to be a merc too many times and i dont really like to be a spy too many times either.

The key to being a good spy is sticky cameras, and firing them off fast. They save your life and buy time for hacking computers. I've been playing for two months and I'm still just an okay spy, but I was able to cam several friends and complete objectives. An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |

A lot of people think as far as multiplayer goes the mercs are just there to have their necks broke and if they see mercs being able to chop spies down with rifles or putting their backs to a wall, something's wrong.
If a merc spends too much time with their back to the wall then something is horribly wrong. I can understand putting your back to the wall when you have been flashed and are recovering. That's very understandable. But there are people who will start a game with their back to a wall and just stay there. Those people are commonly referred to in game as "corner *****es" and usually end up getting kicked by the host (thank God), espically if I'm the host. I hate that.

another thing I hate is when the merc decides to crouch when you are going pull him of a ledge
or when you are about to break his neck and also when they hide in their spawns the whole game. |

Haha, if the mercs do that a lot, they'll most likely lose the game. It's seriously bad reason, to kick people because of that, and almost as bad as kicking them for being a camper... in story mode of course, as I supose you all play? |

Alot of the people I play with regularly are commanders and don't like playing with people who are insistent on keeping their backs to the walls, lingering in the spawn all through the game etc. If the host doesn't get rid of the n00bs, a lot of the good players will leave. Usually, it is a very easy decision as to who goes. The commanders or the corner huggers.... -- Jackie Fiest Proud Ironside n00b Derwen Llewelyn: WTF is THIS??? Oh, so we're talking about DA now? Well, does the so-called good players leave, because they simply can't beat the corner fellas? If so, I think you misunderstood the term of being a "good player". |
I'm pretty sure they leave becuase it gets really old waiting for time to run out when all the other mercs have been necked out, the spies have turned in one file and one is holding the second one, and one n00b is standing with this back in a corner, for literally an entire match, which makes it impossible to neck him out or jump on him. You can hack a merc 17 times in a match but it doesn't do any good if he is just standing in a corner shooting. Alot of spies like to neck the mercs out rather than turn in two files, so those who can't keep up, get booted.

What a joke. Seriously, a merc who's standing at a wall most of the match will never win. It's boring for the player himself and it's a very bad tactic in general, exept when the spies are trying to return a file. What would you expect the mercs to do? - run around like tards, insted of guarding the possible escape routes, by ect. standing at a wall?
And spies who try to kill the mercs insted of hacking, doesn't get the point of the game. Really, one single mercenary can easily take out three spies in a deathmatch, because the game isn't designed for that kind of play. |

Not anymore...at least.
I can't believe with all the offensive options the Ubi-Frenchie guys took out of the game that there are still DM people. An upcoming novel by me. Thanks Melonie for the sig! |
