is pandora tomorow far to underated ? , over the weekend i decided to take a trip down memory lane and play pandora tomorow , no one can argue that the online mode it introduced was groundbreaking for the splinter cell series but i started playing through the levels in the single player mode and after completing jerusalem i really enjoying the game. i know for many (including me) was a bit disapointed at the time of the release as it wasnt as exhilirating as the previous game, and was no were near as good as chaos theory which in most of our eyes was and still is the best splinter cell title ever. but it got me thinking , is pandora tommorow extreamly underated?.

I dont know I think it was a very good SC game but I hated the action crap Shanghai put on the single player.

I thought it was quite brilliant. Certainly better than the SCA rubbish that Shanghai did. The level designs were quite nice. Especially Jeruaslem and the Indonesia ones. It was the first Xbox game I played, so it pulled me in to the series very well.

I think it's pretty good. It's too bad noone plays online because I'm very late to the series(I bought it a few months ago).

I think that pandora tomorow was probably better than the first one. it focused a lot more on the technology and the story was a lot more interesting to follow than the first. Also it was a hell of a lot easier as when i was younger i found splinter cell 1 difficult at times as you had to look around for the path etc.
whereas in the second one it foucused more on the gameplay than puzzles

The thread is about six months old, but that is OK- it is extremely slow on these boards as it is. Two comments. First, I personally liked the story in the first one better. It is the one I replay more than any of the others. Second, Pandora would naturally be easier for you because you had learned how to play it better from playing the first one. They were both pretty linear- only one way through areas and levels. Chaos Theory expanded out the playing field in terms of area and alternative routes and added more options.

I thought it was OK. Not the best, but I would also not say it was the worst. The story was intersting enough and kept me playing untill I finished it.

I think that Pandora Tomorrow was actually quite good. While it was not as good as the first, it does provide gameplay that is nearly non-linear, because you can do things loads of different ways, so it doesn't get boring.

To be really honest.. I thought it was really good. And hell no it aint underrated ! Take a look at Gamespot's review for example.

But Gamespot gives scores anyway that are way too high sometimes. Look at GTA 4.. 10? Nahh lets be honest GTA 4 was not perfect.

But besides that Pandora Tomorrow was a game that really told its story well, but no denying SC1 shone some light into the series for sure, overwhelming PT by far. But still.. SCCT is king and lets hope Conviction takes that crown.
