Well i would say SCCT because i mainly play the multiplayer aspect of it. I never beat SC1 or SCCT single player. But SC1 IS also Awsome. Music is awsome, really dark, and good atmosphere

nice collection you got there. My oponions is the following: sc 1 had this Realy nice feelign that i Realy love. chaos theory is even better but there's a bit too much grafic, the story is a bit weak but realy cool, then double agent is a step in the wrong direction and it seems convition is gonna be the very end if they not find a way to solve it and get back to the beginning.

I beleave that the way we live is also the way we die. I'm Interlink the Shadow and I'm gonna die Hard. The man is back, back on track. Sic vis pacum para bellum!

This is SOOO easy, Chaos Theory of course! Single player was ok and multiplayer is probably the best Xbox Live experience ever. I wish that someday they wake up at Ubisoft and start making REAL Splinter Cell games again?

hey i am kinda new to the splinter cell series and i absolutely love em. i have only played bits of sc1,pt, and none of ct. i have completed da though and i was amazed by the solo mode. however i thought that the multiplayer let it down a bit. i dunno, i guess running around and just hacking files didnt give me that same thrill as the solo mode offered. i mean he doesnt even carry a gun or knife or anything. i have been looking at videos of ct though and it looks more like what i was expecting from a stealth online game. i just need a few opinions on the multiplayer though so i am open to whatever you guys think!!!

Each entry in the splinter cell series made its own impact to fans of the series. SC 1 started it all and became a competetitor to the Metal Gear series. PT introduced the idea of multiplayer to the console games, but it was way too strict on alarms. I would get so mad at how many times I would have to restart just because I missed or didn't kill a person with a bullet and he would radio in an alarm. Chaos Theory improved multiplayer, threw out the idea of failing a mission because the player was just a little bit sloppy, made the game more realistic by not having bodies detected after you left a room where you killed everyone and all possible patrols, made the game more flexible by introducing the close quarters system and options for your guns. The OCP on the pistol saved me so many bullets I needed to shoot out the lights. The confrontation between Fisher and Shetland near the end and the two arguing over beliefs made it a more memorable game. As for Double Agent, it depended on which console you played it on. On the Xbox1, it seemed like an add-on to Chaos theory, which isn't bad, but the moments when you made a trust decsicion wasn't as tense as the 360. The introduction of Spy-versus-Spy was fun mainly in CQB fights, there was no other joy like watch your character jump in the air and kick the opponent sqaure in the head and watch him die. For DA on 360, I thought it was a cool concept of Sam being undercover in a terrorist organization and bringing them down from the inside. I thought It was a cool moment to choose whether to save Hisham by shooting his attacker or shooting Hisham himself while having Lambert and Emile argue on your "headset." That moment was only beaten in the next mission when you have to choose whether to kill Lambert or save his life by shooting Washington was even better. Hearing Washingto count down while you decide who to shoot. I blasted Washington before he even reached 2.. That made the climax of the game more fun by taking everyone down in the JBA with just your fists, knife, goggles, Sc-20K, and your wits.

1) Chaos Theory
2) Double Agent 360
3) Double Agent Xbox1
4) Splinter Cell
5) Pandora Tommorrow (no doubt here)

Best: Chaos Theory
Worst: Pandora Tomorrow

They all are too short. Original was short, just 10 levels i thought, well next is longer. When i found out that PT actually had less, and worse levels i almost took it back to store.

CT easily the best for me.
PT
DA/SC

Agree with most people about the CIA HQ mission being one of the best ever in the series. I put CT and PT as the top two as I'm really into the stealth gameplay but love the gadgets as well. I can see the point of the original SC being for the true fans, but I can't live without my gadgets.

Despite all the DA hate, I actually thought it was a very good game, though obviously not nearly the best in the series.

Also, am I the only one who thought the mission in PT where you capture Sadono was the most tedious one in the series? I mean it was great, but so so tough to get through.

The best Splinter Cell that i always like is Splinter Cell Double Agent because it's full of exciting gameplay on the game. Better than the new one and also the damn old one too...

Thanks

single player/co op: CT, (never played SC so I assume its here), PT, DA

CT had the funnest missions by far minus the fact that its easy to beat every mission in that game by running (almost) straight at an enemy and knife them even on the hardest setting.

PT was fun what can I say.

DA was pretty(graphically) and obese(gameplay) at the same time. You lose your mobility and instead you are a slow and clunky old man. I hated every minute of the bad guys hq. I wanted to die when I was forced to walk anywhere. Why did the game devs think that hiding under a computer on a brightly lit cruise ship bridge with men on high alert patrolling right next to you with half your body sticking out think thats stealth? sc is a light/shadows game for a reason. They dont need to now say you can hide in obvious spots in broad daylight.

multi: PT, CT, DA

PT invented the multiplayer of sc and it was the least restrictive of all of them by far. In CT you can cloak (ya cuz thats realistic and takes skill), uzis are accurate at any range shooting full automatic. I'm also mad at CT for breaking the assault/sniper.

PT required more skill as mercs could counter a spies advance more effectively. For example, in cinema a merc can easily move around from one terminal to another in a short amount of time. Compare that to CT where it literally takes too long to ever get to the room you need to defend. In CT if you choose spy and dont try to deathmatch a merc you can almost always win everytime if you have skill. Yay factory, if I see an obj going off ill be there by the time its done or easily eluded. Overall I think that PT had better maps (lab, mount hospital, cinema, museum, warehouse) and less stupid gadgets that dont make sense/cheap and impractical (cloak) or are useless (heartbeat monitor, etc.).

DA multi sucks. Sniping is turned into something useless; you can run around sucking intel from any machine and jet; most rooms stay half bright at all times; you memorize one way in and out and know that it is the best way to go every time (ex. boss house there is a path on the roofs where you are virtually gone once you get there. The only good counter being a merc with a drone but even then its easy to evade.).

My reasons PT had better multi:
- no cloaking
- better level design
- wasnt childish (DA... eww)
- more skill involved (relied on more teamwork and diversions)
- more passive alarm systems that need disabling (cameras, motion sensors)
- darker game areas
- better hacks (well hidden and not as substantial/can be reset by merc. CT had obvious ones staring you in the face that could never be reset. A good comparison would be the train -cameras off- and warehouse -lights for area 2- map in PT vs. clubhouse CT. Most people never even knew the hacks existed in PT and even if they used them they could always be reset.)

I also liked the menu system of PT the best. It looked cool. I know 99% of you ppl will disagree with my opinions given that I get a general tone that everyone loves ct multi in here.

You should really run out and get SC1. Not only is it THE classic Splinter Cell, but if you thought, like me, CT was too easy, you'll find SC is not. There's no knife, this game requires some fine stealth skills to beat. Especially, of course, if you wanna go for one-kill and the minimum amount of KO's.

Really out of the ones ive played (only 2 SC1 and PT GBA) SC1 was good but PT GBA was tough because you dont have the 3D world to move around in so easily and its hard to hide...im stuck in the subway...

EDIT: I got SC1 yeserday for the xbox and i only completed a little bit but im already in love with it FISHER FOREVER!

SC1 is my all time fave closely followed by CT. I enjoyed parts of Pandora tomorrow like the Jerusalem mission. As for DA, the best part of that imo was the music. Up their with some of the best game soundtracks such as Hitman, Max Payne, again imo.
