I am a huge fan of Splinter Cell and its main character Sam Fisher. I could tell you almost everything about his weaponry and gadgets and backstory. But one thing stumps me. I know what kind of knife he has. But am stumped with the sheath. I am refering to both Chaos Theory and Double Agent. It is pretty versatile. He just pulls it out, does his business, and puts it back...without any buttoning or snaps to do/undo. Its like the knife just clicks in and clicks out. Not sure if i am communicating this well, but i was wondering if there is any type of sheath like that out there.

Absolutely, all of the equipment and technology in SC is based off of things that are currently in use or in stages of prototypes. The sheath Sam uses is either an auto lock or magnet system. I've seen an auto lock style before. Very cool and innovative, but nevertheless, expensive.

How does Sam's rifle attach to his back? Never figured that one out.

I would assume a magnet. One of those flexible rubber mats with a small but powerful magnet on it; to preserve flexibility.
