Dark Messiah seems to be comparable to HH in engine type. The system requirements for Dark Messiah are....
Minimum: AMD Athlon?, Pentium® 2.4 GHz, 512MB RAM, 128MB video card, 7GB HDD Space, Windows XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: AMD Athlon?, Pentium® 3.0 GHz, 256mb dx9 video card, 7GB HDD Space, Windows XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

so if these are any indication.... it looks like the HH ones are going to be pretty heady requirements. I will definately need to upgrade... which I can't afford so I'm basically screwed.

It's the resolution of your crt/lcd that's the thing. I have a x1800xt 512mb and it struggles with todays games at a decent reso and some aa: & af:

There is a major difference here, Dark Messiah is being deveolped with the Source engine and HH is being developed with the Unreal Engine 3, it is likely that system requirements are going to be different. I would look more to Unreal Tournament 2007 system requirements they will likely be closer to HH requirements.

Well, I think Arkane studios did a bad job in terms of optimization... HL2: Lost Coast runs smoother than DM and it looks better. So don't measure any UE3 games to DM. Epic did a great job with Unreal enginse so far and I'm sure, they did it again. There are more than a hundred games using this engine, it should run smooth on most PCs, not just on high-end PCs.

Anyway, here are the official system reqs of R6: Vegas, it uses UE3, so it should be the same for BIA:HH too:

Supported OS: Windows XP (only)
Processor: P4 3Ghz or AMD equivalent
RAM: 1024 Mb
Video Card: 128MB, Shader Model 3 and DirectX 9.0c compatible
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
Peripherals Supported:
Mouse, keyboard, headsets, Xbox360 Controller, etc.

hey man its not coming out any time soon, so how about you save some money up and buy a 3.0 shader graphics card, i know for sure it wont be 2.0 its just too new of a game for that old of a technology

A really good bang for the buck card is the X1950 XT, which is about $200 on NewEgg. If that's too much, the X1950 pro is the XT's little brother, but can still pack a punch for around $160.

first responding to the directx 9 part of your system and based on my educated guess, I would say yes and hope so. see, directx 10 is just one tiny step ahead of dx9 and dx10 supports only windows vista. Im sure the folks at gearsoft/ubi knows that they are alot of XP users out there and I don't think this game will be released only for the vista OS. otherwise they could be losing some money.
and im sure you have more than enough to run BIA3! how much did you spend on ya system?

Hey theres a new game out called bioshock, its teh most recent game from unreal engine3. download teh demo from steam. itsgraphics are absolutely stunning, i expect nothing less from unreal engine3. anyways, thats not the point.taken that is the most recent game from that engine just look up the minimum requirements for it, and it should hit pretty close to what hells highway is gonna be like.

tell me that 2.1 GH intel is gonna be enough.
my computer is only about a half year and i was hoping it would stand for long.
i play F.E.A.R on full graphic.

i have 3 Gigs of ram and a Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS card
i were of the impresion that i had quite a powerful machine but i guess that CPU is its weekest point.

also. will it run with WinXP?

is the processor core 2 duo? if it is youl probably be fine. if not i suggest upgrading soon.

and yea xp is fine if you dont mind not having direct x10.

i was really hoping to run this game on direct x10 but its not worth it considering you have to actually use vista in order to use it.

i hope someone will mod dx10 or make a 3rd part version of it for xp, that would be great

Athlon 2.19 Ghz Processor
2 GB DDR RAM
7800GS AGP 256MB RAM
Dell 2405 (24 inch wide screen flat panel monitor)
And let's not forget the value of a good power supply! 700 Wt with a combindable 12v rail.

All versions of BIA, MOH, COD, and Silent Hunter play flawlessly. BOB2 (Battle Of Britain) plays smoothly too!

I'm not messing with success!! Smile

jhonny11, was that question meant for me?? If so, no, my processor is not dual. But my pc is custom built, I'm in the IT field. I haven't had any problems with any other games I've tried to load, so I don't see why I should have a problem with HH. If need be, I'll over clock my processor and/or my graphics card. But I doubt that will be necessary.
