What about Battalions? I don't know much about this, but I'm just wondering a bit, since in BoB Winters leads whole 'Battalion' after a while ...

I know you're not trying to start a row, which is good, but i heard on band of brothers episode 3 (Carentan) as they are walking up to that hill were they have a big fight (Hill 30?)
i heard one of the men say "How come out of 9 companys , able to item, we are always the ones exposed on a flank ..... etc."

Anyone else know what i mean? Indifferent

Well, I don't trust anything on BOB as historical fact, and you shouldn't either. Try and research it and see. Wink2

They did, A to I. Every rifle-based unit in the Army had companies.

Also, Battalion is between Regiment and Company. It is made up of 3 companies, Able, Baker and Charlie make up 1st Battalion, Dog, Easy and Fox make up 2nd Battalion and George, How and Item make up 3rd Battalion. 3 battalions make up a regiment.
