From what I’ve heard from gamers and seen in various postings around the internet, BiAHH for the PC has as good as stopped selling; it’s now Feb 09 and sales fell dramatically even after two months. First, BiAHH does not properly support the graphic cards it is supposed to. Then the copy protection is writing to the PC bios, which is wholly unacceptable and for some people is unrecoverable without expensive expert help. Then there is the Ubisoft Support which is nothing more than a user forum. Ubisoft have a lot to answer for.
I've installed and finished the game already with not a single problem. Fun game, BTW.
With the exception of a few of my older games, I never seem to have any of the problems other people report with newer games. If you meet the hardware requirements and have no illegal software copying programs on your PC, then you should have no problems. Of course people are going to argue until eternity about this with me, but all I can tell you is that I never have problems with new games.
I have a fairly new PC, up-to-date drivers, Starforce and Securom on my PC, and I never experience problems. I don't know what more I can say.
lol...i could not run older games on my gamepc but found little program that can set the older game to use only one cpu and this works fine...weird to read that a game can alter the bios? i do not think windows will allow that but i am not sure either
When I loaded this game first it wouldn't run so I upgraded my PC to 4Gb RAM, 3.10 Ghz dual core processor and a Nvidea GeForce 9500GT graphics card. Simple! After that no problem and there hasn't been since. What is it with some 'PC gamers'? Maybe they should look more at the requirements and do less bragging about how knowledgeable they are. I have never needed 'expensive expert' help and I think that scare-mongering like this should be banned from this forum! UBI Soft games are still by far the best (except for that little episode with Starforce software).
